Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated Amazon Global Marketplace Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with strong management skills, is detail-oriented, and has robust understanding of Amazon's marketplaces across North America, Europe and Japan, with a passion for e-commerce. As an Amazon Global Marketplace Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Amazon stores worldwide, leading our in-house Amazon Marketplace team with your industry knowledge to ensure smooth and efficient execution of e-commerce activities. Your will guide the team to tackle complex challenges faced in the Amazon marketplaces, optimise product listings, inventory management and forecasting, FBM order fulfilment, customer service experience, and drive performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Amazon Seller Central, has experience in managing an omnichannel e-commerce business, is self-driven with experience leading a growing team of 5, comfortable with cross-departmental collaboration, and has a strategic mind to achieve growth with a data-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Amazon Marketplace Operations:
Proven track record in managing all aspects of Amazon marketplace across multiple regions, with success in resolving issues that arise from global listings.
Team Management and Cross-Department Collaboration:
Lead a team of 5-7 people and work closely with the Marketing, Creatives, and Supply Chain departments to align Amazon strategies with overall business objectives. Provide recommendations on product pricing, and promotional strategies based on data insights.
Strategic Planning for Amazon Marketplace Growth and Defence:
Build a roadmap for each region to acquire traffic beyond traditional advertising and promotions on and off Amazon, and defend our product listings.
Store and Listing Optimization:
Lead the optimization of product listings and Amazon stores, ensuring titles, bullets, keywords and product descriptions are optimized for search visibility and sales conversion. Oversee the team’s day-to-day operations in ensuring product listings are reflecting as intended.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
Oversee FBA and FBM operations, including inbound shipments and stock replenishments. Maintain optimal FBA inventory levels to reduce overstock and understock issues, and clear slow-moving stock.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, conversion rates, ROI, and advertising metrics. Conduct regular analysis with the team to improve sales performance and reduce unnecessary spending.
Advertising & Marketing:
Guide our Amazon Ads Specialist to manage and optimize Amazon PPC campaigns and other promotional tools to drive traffic and maximize sales. Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional strategies and run deals, discounts, and campaigns.
Compliance & Policies:
Ensure compliance with Amazon’s rules, regulations, and policies to prevent account suspension and maintain high seller ratings. Stay updated on changes in Amazon policies and marketplace trends.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Amazon global accounts.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Flat Files and Excel, familiarity with Amazon product listings’ best practices and pricing mechanics.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage external and internal stakeholders effectively.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
Team Management: Comfortable leading and guiding the Amazon Marketplace team in-person and remotely with clear task delegation and follow-ups.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to operational details, diligently tracking the team’s progress and performance to ensure seamless efficiency across all aspects, from inventory management to product listings and campaigns.
Other Preferred Requirements:
Experience in managing all Amazon marketplaces (North America, Europe and Asia).
Experience in enhancing product listings, particularly in improving main images and A+ content with a focus on visual and emotional appeal to drive conversion.
Has expertise on onsite and offsite traffic acquisition, in addition to advertising and promotions.
Experience with FBA inventory management, including forecasting and quantity optimization.
Excellent data interpretation skills, able to identify problems from data and provide solutions.
Familiarity with using Amazon Strategic Account Services, including raising urgent tickets when needed
