Overall Job Purpose

· Responsible for overseeing the growth of the Airfreight product in Asia, with a focus on enabling sales growth and commercial solutions to meet both internal and external customer requirements. The role will act as the subject matter expert for Airfreight products and services, taking overall pricing and commercial decisions required to meet the company's objectives.

Main Tasks & Key Responsibilities

· Ownership of tariffs, pricing tools and rate applications utilized in airfreight, to improve standardization and competitiveness

· Development of digital product offerings

· Support execution of the commercial strategy across the region

· Drive competitive pricing strategies and identify best solutions to maximize profitability for Airfreight products, both regionally and in supporting local countries

· Creates and executes sales campaigns as required to help business development

· Strong interaction with Sales communities (country & regional) to ensure necessary training and or requirements are fulfilled to support business conversion

· Regular pipeline reviews with Sales communities to help build mutual strategies to open new opportunities

· Ongoing review of customer trading to review low-margin accounts and how to expand trading for current accounts

· Take active involvement in bringing Airfreight expertise into Customer discussions

· Develop and agree on trade lanes to help maximize existing base loads and increase profitability (focus on what type of cargo is required and support business plans to acquire such)

· Improved communication on Airfreight Products throughout the organization

· Training and development of internal airfreight stations on commercial strategies required to advance the region

· Must be able to travel, be aware of overseas cultures, markets and represent SGL Asia Airfreight products as required

· Regularly provide market updates and industry developments to internal and external audiences

· Improved speed to market, ease of pricing strategies throughout the region

• Attending cargo operation for quality control and damage prevention at Singapore.
• Check stowage plan before vessel arrival.

3. Control the berth and yard depending on the status of connected cargo at Singapore.

4. Management and Operation monitoring, Approval work for Asia Automobile Terminal Singapore (AATS).

5. Attend & supervise cargo stuffing operation and monitor at Singapore.

6. Damage prevention activity in South Africa, Red Sea, Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf.

• Prepare damage report when incident occur & update damage record.

7. Arrangement and collection of roll trailers & stuffing materials in Southeast Asia.

• Manage roll trailer / Bolster inventory in Southeast Asia with coordination with head office.
• Keep track of roll trailer requirement by sale department.
• Manage lashing materials inventory with other Southeast Asia agent and head office.
• Coordinate and arrange repair work of damage roll trailers.

8. Management and operation of Tugmaster allocation in Inter Asia service, Arrangement for Tugmaster maintenance.

9. Checking handling availability for connecting cargo from out side of South East Asia/ Australia area.

10. Others, including Singapore local & area of responsibility requirement as and when required by head office.

Qualifications

1. Candidate must possess Certificate of Competence (CoC) Class 1(Master) or 2(Chief Officer).
2. Must have experience on board car carrier more than 1 year (Any rank as long as he/she was working as a navigation officer)
3. Must have experience on board as Chief Officer (Any type of vessel is acceptable as long as it is Ocean Going).
4. Familiar with RORO vessel’s cargo operation.
5. Experience in stowage planning, Verification of High & Heavy cargo handling, vessel operations and management of car terminal will be an advantage.
6. Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, integrity, and professionalism.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts (AP / AR / GL / P&L etc)
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation and ensure monthly reconciliations are completed promptly and that unreconciled items are investigated and resolved promptly.
• Preparation of Statutory Audit Reports
• Review Tax computation and Tracking of Tax incentive status, and review of GST submission.
• Responsible for preparation and closing monthly and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements, audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal.
