Job title: Senior Specialist – HH IT DnA – Technical Lead, Data Engineering

The enterprise Information Technology field is rapidly changing. The explosion of data tied to the ubiquity of digital technologies and services available to consumers is changing the expectations of senior leaders, employees, customers, and patients. People want access to information, everywhere, on any device, anytime. These challenges require IT to significantly uplift its technology assets and skillsets to speed up and drive the changes. To address this challenge, IT has established a five Tech Centers model in Austin, Rahway, West Point, Singapore, and Prague to provide a follow-the-sun operational model leveraging networked teams that can better support the business, the patients and make the crosswork between different departments and regions more agile.

Primary Responsibilities

• As a Product Technical Lead (TL) focuses on Technology Implementation, which is the process of converting functional requirements into fully implemented IT product features.
• Set the direction for team of data engineers working alongside with Product Manager.
• Define and implement prioritization framework to direct investments and manage evolution of capabilities according to established roadmaps, priorities, and customer feedback.
• Maintain and prioritize a healthy backlog of well-formed epics, features and user stories which align with the overall roadmap and serve as requirements for the delivery squad(s).
• Partner with squad members including but not limited to Product Managers, scrum masters, Business Analyst and development team to manage high-quality product delivery leveraging Agile SDLC methodology.
• Be accountable for enablement, adoption and growth of global data content products across HH markets.
• Establish, track and monitor Value Realization metrics for the Data products and communicate on a regular and as needed basis to stakeholders.
• Partner with Foundational Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud and other enterprise teams to define, implement and extend required capabilities and services to address HH divisional needs.
• Apply risk-based decision making to complex problems and consult with relevant subject matter advisors as needed to inform the decision. Operate with Integrity and ensure adherence with organization policies, quality assurance and data protection processes.

Education Minimum Requirement:

• B.S. or M.S. in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 7+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 2+ years of demonstrated Technical Lead experience in Data and Analytics space using Agile methodologies.
• Previous experience in Life sciences and Pharma domain and experience is preferred.
• Strong expertise in converting Business Requirements/Solution Architecture into High Level Design, Low Level Design documents and effectively have them implemented by a team of data engineers.
• Strong expertise in building and supporting Cloud Data platform solutions.
• Deep Knowledge and experience building cloud data platform and data warehouse products using cloud native solutions.
• Hands-on experience in one or more areas of data acquisition, data modelling, data transformations and build data pipelines is highly essential.
• Define and maintain the global data standards and reusable connectors to share and configure by the regional product teams.
• Leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to set direction and lead/ motivate teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with a variety of stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Certifications in one or more cloud technologies. Having AWS advanced certifications is a plus.
• Agile and/or Technology related certifications
• Prior experience in building data pipelines and solution designing of Data products is highly desired.
• Perform solution reviews and able to guide the product teams to build optimal and reusable solutions.
• Proven delivery excellence of one or more data products and increments in Agile delivery.
• Understanding of Global Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing data domains.
• Understanding of emerging trends and technology offerings in data and analytics and able to work independently on the Poc’s.

• Process end-to-end payroll for a large organisation (with 2 payroll cycles a month), including but not limited to,

o submission of monthly CPF and refunds,

o submission of Government Paid Leave claims,

o processing medical/dental claims from employees,

o ensuring accuracy of bank details and timely submission of bank files,

o providing payroll GL to the finance team for reconciliation,

o pro-ration of salary for new hires and resignees,

o filing for resignees according to internal procedures

• Timely filing of IR21 clearance (for foreign resignees) and annual IR8A submission to IRAS and generate e-IR8A report to all employees

• Correspond with HR team to retrieve data and inputs necessary for relevant pay elements

• Support and implement improvements to system enhancement and payroll processes for better efficiency and compliance to statutory regulations

• Manage system set-up for payroll-related processes

• Maintain a secured archival of payroll files to support annual and ad-hoc audit exercises

• Provide support for internal & external audit on payroll matters

• Serves as an internal and external resource on payroll-related inquiries

• Attend to all employee inquiries such as Employee Benefits, Payroll, Leaves, Insurance (medical & WICA) related matters

• Assisting in WICA renewal

• Ensure upkeep of payroll documentation for proper storage and retrieval of records

• Other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

· Diploma or Degree equivalent in Human Resources Management related discipline

· At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in payroll processing for a large organization in a fast-paced environment

· Good knowledge of the Timesoft payroll system will be an advantage
