Under the direction of the Manager of Publicity and Publications, the Publicity and Publications Officer is responsible for:

• Developing, establishing, and maintaining marketing strategies to promote the mission and vision, services and products of DAS and its subsidiaries. (DAS Family)
• Maintaining professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values and proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships within the DAS Family.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

Publicity

• Conceptualise, design, and create marketing materials both digitally and in print
• Develop and maintain websites, social media, and other online activities
• Build and maintain an effective database for email Direct Marketing (EDM) campaigns
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of DAS Family events
• Track and analyse “Return of Investment” (ROI) on publicity initiatives
• Create original video content for the promotion of DAS activities and services, with the ability to perform simple video editing

Publications

• Write, edit, and proofread original content for DAS Publications
• Prepare, design, and create resources for printing (e.g., DAS Learning Resources, Brochures)
• Create, design, and develop items for events (e.g., banners, posters, gifts etc.)

Digital Marketing and Social Media:

• Lead and manage social media campaigns across various platforms, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals.
• Develop, implement, and optimise digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, and email marketing.
• Analyse and report on digital marketing performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations to improve ROI and engagement.
• Monitor and manage website content to ensure it is optimised for search engines and provides a user-friendly experience.
• Create and manage content calendars for digital platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.

Administration

• Manage documentation related to Publicity and Publications activities
• Obtain competitive quotes for the purchase of items or services for DAS Family
• Update all work activities quarterly for the DAS Management Report.
• Maintain work request system and produce statistics and analytics

We are looking to appoint a full-time Project Officer at the School of Humanities in Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

The incumbent will join the Linguistics and Multilingual Studies (LMS) Department working on a project titled ‘Performance-interpretability Tradeoff in Discourse Research’ led by Professor Dennis Tay. The position is a fixed term post for 17 months.

About the Project

The performance-interpretability tradeoff (PIT) in data science and AI refers to the balance between how well a statistical/machine learning model performs, and how readily humans can comprehend it. This project investigates the nature and characteristics of PIT in discourse research, focusing on the following:

i) the (strategically) indeterminate nature of PIT

ii) PIT in time-based algorithms and discourses

iii) conceptual relationship(s) between PIT and ‘mixed-methods’ discourse research, with subsequent developments based on emergent findings.

Discourse datasets to be investigated include psychological counseling, social media, academic lectures, and other relevant time-based contexts, while time-based algorithms include LSTM, ARIMA time series, and survival regression models. The project also aims to design and develop relevant pedagogical resources aimed at students and the general public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and collecting language and discourse datasets across different domains
• Assist in pre-processing discourse data for analysis
• Assist in preparation of research output, pedagogical resources, and/or other project-related deliverables

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Be responsible to support day-to-day operations in warehouse by performing, monitor and coordinate deliveries and shipment.

2. To prepare all shipping document for import and export shipments.

3. Be the point of contact with internal and external stakeholders on shipments arrangement.

4. To assist on customers / suppliers’ inquiries via phone call or email.

5. To ensure all inventory transactions are completed within the timeline and maintain stock accuracy.

6. Upkeep and file related documentations on time and accurately. (E.g. delivery orders, shipping documents and inventory records etc.

7. Plan and conduct periodic Stock Quantity Cycle Count in accordance with company’s SOP.

8. Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse utilization, inventory, stock movement and general matters for management review.

9. To ensure the storage and office areas are well maintained.

10. Responsible for EHS, quality, legal and security compliance in warehouse/operations.

11. Performs other job-related functions as and when required by superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· At least 3 years of working experience in the relevant working fields. (Logistic / 3PL / Supply Chain)

· Proficient with computer function, Microsoft Office, email, warehouse management system and operating scanning equipment.
