Overview

A role is being created within our Singapore Investment Operations department. This is a position for someone who is wanting to build on their financial services career within a dynamic department that is investing in infrastructure in order to support our front office and wider business while operating at scale. This role is suited to those that have years of supervisory experience or may currently be an Operations manager at another asset manager / fund. Prior Fund Accounting experience at a Third Party Administrator would also be desireable.

This person will have the opportunity to work across the department over time and will be expected to assist where required during pressure points. The Operations department is a supportive, creative and collaborative team. Training will be provided alongside support for industry qualifications up to CFA level where appropriate.

Redwheel offer hybrid working and flexibility however the successful candidate will be in the office at least 3 days per week with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday as core company days.

Investment Operations Department Roles and Responsibilities

The Investment Operations team is currenlty made up of two sub units across London and Singapore. The successful candidate will initially be placed within Fund Operations:

• Fund Operations (currently London) aligns members of the team to certain investment teams or strategies. These individuals become SMEs in the remaining operational workings of the respective funds, after which cross-training occurs. Their roles include, but are not limited to, cash management, fee tracking, budgeting, return estimates, tax oversight, income distribution review, flow verification/instruction and NAV sign-off (Daily & Monthly funds)

• Trade Operations (London & Singapore) are responsible for trade processing, matching and settlement, security setup and corporate action management. Role: As a Key Account Manager in the FMCG ice cream category, you will receive meaningful responsibilities from the start. You will manage client relationships from A-Z. You will be in charge of maintaining and growing long-term relationships with our customers by actively listening to them, continuously proposing solutions, products and plans that meet their objectives. To succeed, you will need a keen understanding of products and the market, as well as financial & marketing skills, an analytical mind and a logical, strategic approach.

Responsibilities:

• Expanding contracts or sales with existing clients by understanding your client’s needs and proposing relevant, thoughtful solutions
• Maintaining expert knowledge of the company’s products and services, and a deep understanding of the company’s brand DNA
• Managing communications between your client and the company’s internal teams
• Nurturing client relationships to build meaningful relationships based on trust and respect. This may include developing rapport with clients to foster long-term client satisfaction, and resolving conflicts that may occur between clients and the company, whilst maintaining trust and avoiding the loss of business in the midst of any difficulties

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, commerce or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related role, with track record of success, preferably within a high-growth FMCG brand
• Experience in ice cream or frozen desserts is a plus
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Excellent decision making skills, with demonstrated ability to balance data with intuition to achieve desired outcomes

The Credit and Collections Manager assists finance leadership by directing and leading the Credit and Collection teams to improve DSO and cash flow management, working closely with operation teams on collections, generating collection and other management reports, and providing analysis and action plans on long aged AR balance, working with clients directly where necessary for collection. Help management with the collection terms decision based on credit rating and analysis.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for credit control and collections performance.
• Submit collection and management reports focusing on AR improvement.
• Work with Finance Director on collection process improvement.
• Set up a credit control process and implement it with operations.
• Liaise and coordinate input from operations to improve the collection process.
• Provide action plans on difficult accounts and ensure the execution of that plans.
• DSO improvement to meet the corporate target.
• Review bad debt provision.
• Ongoing review, development, and documentation of relative policies and procedures of collection and credit controls.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above or recognized equivalent in Accounting.
• 5 years related collection and/or credit experience in the field required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Be able to travel where necessary.
• Be willing to work under pressure with reasonable travel required.
• Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, and Quality Management System.
