Job Description
During primary school curriculum hours, the after school is operating from 1.00 - 7.00 p.m. Monday to Friday. While during primary school closure in March, June, September, November and December as well as PSLE marking days, the after school centre will be operating from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
1) Understands how a community-based after school centre operates
2) Identifies trends, opportunities and threats
3) Drives centre long term and short term goals
4) Achieves Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
5) Manages centre and addresses issues
6) Establishes and Maintains positive and strong relationships/ collaborations with all stakeholders
7) Maintains or/ and Exceeds centre enrolment capacity
8) Leverages Digitalization for seamless communication and record channels
9) Manages after school/ academic support/ allied support/ enrichment/ holiday programme/ national education events/ festivals
10) Initiates fun, meaningful and yet age-appropriate/ educational activities
Job Requirements
Candidates must/ should attain
• at least a GCE 'O' level certification with minimum 5 'O' level credits including English.
Candidates must/ should
• be able to facilitate children from 7 to 12 years old in four subjects, which follow closely to the syllabus by Ministry of Education (MOE)
• be familiar with the revised syllabus, which emphasizes conceptual understanding, skill proficiencies and thinking skills; integral to the development of mathematical problem solving ability, reasoning, applications, and use of technology.
• be familiar with the Science Curriculum Framework, which inculcates the spirit of scientific inquiry.
• be able to plan indoor/ outdoor activities/ excursions during school term holiday and involve working with children
