1. JOB SCOPE
- In charge of the operational procurement process for ship’s requirements.
2. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY / TASK DESCRIPTION

â–ª Negotiate / communicate with suppliers specifying quality, quantity, and delivery schedules
â–ª Schedule, arrange, and follow-up on logistics to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of
items on board
â–ª Monitor schedules of the assigned group of vessels to optimize deliveries on board
â–ª Proactively participate in department meetings and other activities

3. EXECUTION
▪ Processing ship’s requisitions via the defined in Company Procurement procedures/system
â–ª Evaluate bids and make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors
â–ª Create and send purchase orders after approval
â–ª Prepare items for shipment, arrange for transportation of product and coordinate shipments of
supplies to ships
â–ª Update good receipt for each order
â–ª Processing of invoices belonging to the orders she/he has created and/or are related to her/his
group of vessels
â–ª Liaise between suppliers, relevant internal departments and vessels
â–ª Other procurement tasks as delegated by the Technical Superintendent
â–ª Interacts with ships to identify and meet requirements / problem resolution and to accommodate
short lead-time orders
â–ª Request and process vessel feedback on quality and timing of deliveries of goods and services
â–ª Provide information to the Technical Superintendent on various monthly / weekly reports as
relevant
â–ª Ensure that Procurement policies and standard procedures are adhered to at all times
4. REPORTING LINE (FUNCTION REPORTS TO)
- The Procurement Executive reports to the Technical Superintendent.
5. Requirements:
- Degree, Diploma or equivalent education with at least 2 years experience in Maritime industry
- Mature, meticulous, proactive, resourceful & hands-on
- Strong communication & negotiation skill - Good spoken English required
- Ability to prioritize workload & meet deadlines
- Good IT skill - Procurment operating system skill
- Good team player and able to work well under pressure in a fas-paced environment
