The Executive / Senior Executive provides casework support to low-income families and individuals in improving their resources and ability to cope with their challenges. He/She manages a programme, either mentoring and tutoring programme for upper primary/lower secondary school students who are academically weaker or play-based programme which facilitates the learning of pre-schoolers. He/She also work closely with volunteers who contribute in it.

Job Responsibilities:

a) Case Management

• Assesses and recommends appropriate financial assistance and other forms of support to families and individuals.
• Supports and monitors families’ progress in improving their resources and ability to cope with their challenges.

b) Programme Management

• Manages the operation of the programme
• Organise activities and projects to engage and support beneficiaries
• Evaluate the activities and projects

c) Stakeholders Management

• Engages volunteers and partners in programme planning and implementation
• Manages volunteers systematically from recruitment, training to providing feedback and recognition.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree, preferably in Social Sciences
• Has passion to work with low-income families, students and volunteers.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented attitude
• Strong organising skills with the ability to work in teams and independently
• Caring, responsible and resilient
• Proactive in learning
• Able to serve English and Mandarin-speaking clients
• Able to serve Dialect-speaking client will be preferred

Job description

• Manage full set of accounting (AP/ AR/ GL/ Bank reconciliation/ GST / Financial report P & L , Balance sheet)
• Preparation of tax computation for submission to IRAS
• Preparation of GST and GST filing and tax returns
• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
• Month-end closing & bank reconciliation
• Audit and tax queries
• Maintain proper documentation and filing
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by director

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree with relevant accounting qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in handling full set of accounts
• Fluent with MS office applications
• Full set of Company accounts, GST and Audit

The Finance Executive supports the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the finance department. He/She is involved in work that is specific to accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax filing, data compilation, billing or other accounting tasks. In some instances, he may work specifically with accruals, fixed assets accounting or the monthly and yearly finalisation of accounts for audit purposes. The Finance Executive may also assist with the preparation of trial balance, basic financial statements and simple consolidated financial statements. He may be called on to participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform month-end closing activities Maintain accurate financial records and statements

· Record and process all business transactions in the accounting system

· Record transactions and events relating to sales, purchases, receivables, payables and cash

· Record transactions and events relating to inventory, accruals, prepayments, capital structure and finance costs

· Enter accurate data into the accounting system

· Use relevant Infocomm technology systems and tools effectively for data analysis

· Retrieve system reports from the accounting system for management’s use

· Assign account codes to all transactions in the accounting system

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

· Diploma/Degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience in General Accounting

· Attention to details

· Good command of written and spoken English

· Strong team player and can work independently
