What you'll do

As a Compliance Manager, you’ll be helping to develop and manage our compliance and conduct policies so that we can make sure they are fit for purpose and meet the relevant regulatory expectations.

You’ll be assessing existing and proposed financial plans and policies to make sure the bank’s financial administration is efficient and effective, as well as identifying areas of concern, bringing significant variances with supporting detail to the attention of management.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

• Providing regulatory compliance and conduct insight, oversight and challenge in relation to relevant business units, ensuring compliance arrangements, taking into account core FCA principles
• Contributing to the assessment of the conduct strategy to make sure it’s consistent with, and supports, an effective regulatory framework through the provision of advice, guidance and effective reporting
• Providing advice to make sure conflicts of interest and potential market abuse risks are managed appropriately

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll have experience in a compliance, conduct or risk management role or similar relevant experience. You'll have knowledge of the regulatory environment and its frameworks, and ideally experience of interpreting regulatory rules and regulations. Ideally you will be legally qualified with exposure to APAC cross border regulation.

Job Scope

• Ensure the highest level of sanitation and hygiene standards in all Food & Beverage (F&B) areas and restaurants under Marina Bay Sands.
• Comply and ensure Marina Bay Sands (Las Vegas Sands Corporation) and Singapore Food Agency hygiene and food safety policies are strictly adhered to daily.

Job Requirements

• Assist in carrying out technical analysis for new purchases.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of shore-based experience on container vessels (a mix of containers and tankers will be considered)
• Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with minimum sailing experience preferably on container vessels. Otherwise, sailing experience on cargo ships (container/ bulk carrier / tanker) is required.
• Prior experience in dry docking and technical management will be an advantage
• Candidate should have good knowledge of PMS and SMS system

Within Commodity Solutions Germany & BeNeLux the Commodity Flow Desk Global (CFD) provides wholesale market access to different client sectors. For the growth of our financial and physical downstream Sales Trading activities in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC), we are looking to explore new OTC opportunities in close alignment with our existing trading and renewables activities.

• You become part of the CFD team which is responsible for physical and financial hedging OTC-transactions with a focus on power (green as well as grey), gas, oil, coal and green certificates (e.g. NFCs, EUAs and VERs) with energy companies, utilities and companies active in the industrial and logistic sector across APAC

Your powerful skills

Own and oversee the Organizational Risk Management processes for the purpose of highlighting potential high-risk areas to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Outsourcing, New Product/Business check

• Reviewing outsourcing and third party management related documents such as policy, procedure, manual, and outsourcing register to comply with the new MAS outsourcing Notice, Guidelines and related documents.
