Position Summary:
The Regional Manager will specifically focus on growing, developing new markets, expanding channels and increasing product through promotion activities in the assigned geographic territories. This individual will be the front-line key driver for focused initiatives in the assigned roles and responsibilities, and will coordinate efforts with all other areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for product promotion activities according to business plan in the following territory: Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia
- Manage channel partners and take ownership of the assigned regions, leading them to growth mode and ensure a win-win situation for both PSG and channel partners.
- Identify new business growth opportunities for the assigned region and ensure that it is in-line to the common sales goal of the regional team.
- Achieve set sales target for each countries, channel partners and brands assigned. Be prepared to work out a contingency plan if faced with challenges.
- Achieve projected gains through development and deployment of “Value Added” sales concepts and not just simply order taking.
- Analyze competition and alternative technology in the business while developing competitive strategies to grow market share of PSG products in the assigned region.
- Search and sign up new suitable channels to address those uncovered business and geographical areas to improve our sales and market shares in the assigned region.
- Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
- Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly sales plans and priorities and schedule own activities so the individual targets are achieved.
- Maintains a focused business perspective by monitoring and staying current on regulatory, technological, economic, competitor, channel and application trends as these relate to the assigned territory to ensure that new business opportunities are captured and existing business is maintained.
- Continually monitor distributor performance. Communicates clear expectations to the distributors and coaches them on ways to increase sales effectiveness. Monitors progress and communicates performance deficiencies and action steps to correct said deficiencies in a clear and timely fashion.
- Assist PSG in developing Voice of the Customer initiatives as a method of defining new product opportunities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned on ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of sales experience of fluid handling equipment, AODD pump background is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of managerial role, including distributor or channel partners management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business or related majors.
- Able to work with little supervision and communicate plans and outcomes effectively.
- Willing to travel (drive and air) up to 50% of the time
- Self-starter with strong ability to manage channel partners and lead them to growth.
- Dedicated team-player mindset, solid work ethic and a firm commitment to win.
- Fluency in English both in speaking and writing.
