General Overview

The incumbent will assist in administering and maintaining the company’s HSSE Management System, supporting the HSSE Manager in monitoring and meeting HSSE work plans and KPIs as well as working closely with key internal stakeholders to resolve HSSE issues.

Work Experience

The multiscale model will help address key epidemiological and public health questions which could not be answered by classic (single scale) approaches. Specifically, we plan to develop and calibrate the multiscale model for SARS-CoV-2 and assess effect of intervention (e.g., antiviral treatment) on epidemiological dynamics.

This project is led by Keisuke Ejima, an Assistant Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.

The Carney lab investigates the cell dynamics in the skeletal system and epithelia. Its analyses have implications for fundamental cell biology, evolution, genetics and clinical underpinnings of disease. Guided by issues facing the clinic, the lab has recently modelled diseases affecting skeletal system and has developed a model of bone necrosis.

We are currently recruiting a Research Associate to work on interrogating a zebrafish model of a clinical bone necrosis. Working closely with a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, the job will include molecular biology, animal husbandry, cloning, transgenesis and genotyping as well as imaging approaches. Furthermore, the applicant will be expected to offer general support in laboratory maintenance tasks, including laboratory supply and inventory control, procurement and routine genotyping and fish line maintenance. The successful applicant will have access to superb facilities and a broad range of scientific technology, reagents, and equipment, within a dynamic, international and multidisciplinary scientific environment.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Related industry experience with an Engineering degree or diploma, preferably in Chemical/ Environmental / Process or Risk Engineering
• Possess WSHO and FSM Certificates
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in the relevant process plant, waste management, oil and gas, logistics industry
• Strong knowledge of Singapore HSSE related regulatory requirements preferred
