Project Introduction: This study is a qualitative study of how first-time principals in Singapore schools navigate their early years of school leadership upon graduation from NIE’s Leaders in Education Programme (LEP) and appointment into their new roles as school principals. Specifically, how they cope with principalship demands during their first years and the relevance of their leadership learning into professional practice.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree from a reputable university in a relevant field
• Relevant research experience in qualitative research and analysis
• Strong interpersonal communication, listening and writing skills
• Able to work independent with minimal supervision
• Experience with research processes (e.g., IRB, RISE) would be an advantage.
• Experience with publications and related processes would be useful
• Knowledge and experience working in the Singapore education system would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, managing and executing project related tasks
• Conduct literature reviews
• Conduct interviews
• Transcription, coding and analysis of interview data
• Conduct research task relevant to project (e.g., research ethnics documentation, data storage) Developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality
• Prepare presentations and publications independently
• Consolidate and write up research findings and reports
• Other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Assistant to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB design and fabrication, along with the capability to assist in various testing procedures and administrative tasks. This role is pivotal in supporting the team in achieving research objectives and advancing our technological innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PCB Design and Fabrication:

• Design and develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) according to project specifications.
• Liaise with vendors for PCB fabrication, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
• Perform troubleshooting and rectification of PCB issues.

2. Testing Assistance:

• Assist in setting up and conducting a variety of tests on electronic components and systems.
• Collaborate with the research team to develop test procedures and documentation.
• Analyze test data and provide insightful feedback for improvements.

3. Project Support:

• Support the project team in various stages of the research and development process.
• Ensure that project milestones are met and comply with quality standards.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

4. Administrative Duties:

• Coordinate and manage project-related paperwork and documentation.
• Schedule meetings and manage communication among team members.
• Oversee the maintenance and inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in PCB design and fabrication.
• Familiarity with testing equipment and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.

Job Description

• Consolidate and create manpower supply timesheets from various divisions for approval.
• Create new data in time attendance system, including shift patterns.
• Process time attendance and checking of overtime calculation.
• To verify with staffs and resolve odd clocking issues.
• Manage and submit the approved timesheet on time for payroll processing
• Assist in the hardcopy compilation of company/ Labour Supply Annual Leave form, MC, petty cash, medical claim for Manager’ approval and submit to Human Resource.
• Raise allowances and transfer forms and submit to Ops Manager for approval before routing to Human Resource.
• Submit internal and external monthly headcount and manhour reports.
• Assist Ops Manager on any other ad-hoc duties

Job Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma with at least 3 year experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in Time Sheet/Staff attendance is required
• Highly independent and meticulous.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
