The ideal candidate will have experience in both field work and laboratory work. The primary responsibilities include managing the laboratory, ensuring health and safety (for both the laboratory and its users), and organizing field work. EOS invites applications for a Research Fellow in ocean modelling specific to coastal waters in (and around) Singapore. The candidate will examine the conduct high-resolution ocean model (ROMS) simulations to study past and future marine heatwave events in Singapore and examine their impacts on marine ecosystems. The position is a key component of the Marine Climate Chance Science (MCCS) Programme aimed at assessing the long-term viability of mangroves and coral reefs as nature-based climate solutions in Singapore. · Promote adoption of innovation, decarbonisation and renewables within the marine sector

2. Advance Marine Decarbonisation

REQUIREMENTS

· At least a Polytechnic diploma in any discipline with at least 2 – 3 years relevant experience; engineering and marine related disciplines preferred

· Meticulous and detail-oriented

· Good communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills

· Resourceful and able to work independently or in teams

Responsibilities

1. Contact delinquent customers for payment and containing flow of delinquent accounts.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

Job Purpose

Responsible for accurate and timely recording of Club’s Point of Sales transactions / other miscellaneous receipts, and related matters

· Ensure daily sales and cash up reports tally with the system

· Check Club’s to cash deposits, PayNow, NETS and credit card settlement against bank statement

· Perform surprise cash counts at Club’s outlets

· Record receipts from customers and members

· Collate entertainment claims receipts from users and update the details in excel on a monthly basis

· Engage with internal stakeholders (business units) on POS matters

· Work with Accounts Receivable (AR) Executive on AR related matters such as sending of monthly statement, update of collections in the system, keying in of daily tenants sales etc

· Initiate monthly GIRO collection from members of Club

· Perform monthly GST reconciliation

· Handle members and non-members queries via phone calls or emails

· Creation of vendor in the system

· Ensure that Financial Instructions Manual, accounting standards, financial policies and all relevant statutory requirements and procedures for financial matters are adhered to

· Identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement within financial processes and participate in relevant IT system development or enhancements

· Any other matters as required based on business needs

Job Requirements

· Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent, preferably with 1-2 years of general accounting experience

· Sense of initiative and responsibility with the ability to work with minimal supervision
