Introduction

ETH Zurich is one of the leading universities of the world with a strong focus on science and engineering. In 2010 it established the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) in collaboration with the National Research Foundation (NRF) to do interdisciplinary research on pressing problems.

In collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Duke - NUS, the National Health Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), and SingHealth, SEC is undertaking a research programme on "Future Health Technologies (FHT)". It addresses pressing health challenges by developing a Connected Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies Concept that tackles the increase in patients suffering from chronic diseases such as stroke, as a consequence of a rapidly ageing population, covering the value chain from acute care to patient's private homes. Within this framework we are announcing the following job opening.

Project background

The Connected Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies Module (Module 3) will develop enabling technologies that provide minimally supervised high-quality interventions via a “rehab gym” equipped with clinical intelligence. Available technologies will include new robotic devices and brain-computer interfaces that are tailored to the individual patient’s needs, linking unobtrusive technical assessments via multiple sensors with interventions in real or virtual environments.

Module 3 will develop and validate new tools for quantifying short-term and long-term rehabilitation outcomes (i.e. via specifically designed wearables, instrumented objects and automated assessments, which potentially interact with an FHT App) (Project 1), delivering rehabilitation training at all stages of the rehabilitation process and in a minimally supervised manner (i.e. via new therapy modalities using brain-machine interfaces and virtual reality (Project 2) as well as mobile and wearable rehabilitation robotics (Project 3)) and providing assistance in permanently impaired patients (i.e. via new wearable assistive robotics) (Project 4). We will, for the first time, develop and evaluate a technology-supported therapy and assistance concept for the upper extremity which spans across the continuum of care, i.e. extending from application at the bedside, to rehabilitation services provided by community centres and finally to patients’ homes. The collected data from devices across all projects will enable the identification of biomarkers for predicting recovery and treatment response, development of a personalised long-term care concept for stroke patients and estimation of social and economic long-term outcomes (i.e. value estimation).

What's the role?

As an APAC Workplace Experience Manager, you will be responsible for our guest and employee experience strategy and all touch points from pre-visit communications, first experience when entering the building, the pantry operations, and any events support. You will lead a regional scrum team of individuals who own the day to day operations of Front of House, Guest Experience, Employee Experience, Pantry Operations and Events support, to name only a few. Qualifications

• The successful candidate has strong academic qualifications and over 3 years of work experience in Wealth Management with a proven track record of managing clients’ portfolio (Premier banking)
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills to be able to work individually as well as to collaborate with stakeholders to meet the needs of these clients
• Highly driven and possess the ability to succeed within a challenging environment
• Outgoing disposition, well-equipped with good communication and interpersonal skills

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

Define and implement scientific positioning and communication of products and Medical Devices as well as product launches in the local market. Generate new scientific data for clinical use of Merz products and support in-licensing and market access. Ensure qualification and training for sales forces and correct scientific knowledge for product promotion according to country specific legal and regulatory requirements. Able to coach and manage Medical Science Liaison, while work closely and aligns with Sales and Marketing team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Responsibilities:

· Ensure the achievement of business plans and scientific objectives as well as execution of measures

· Ensure the Development & implementation of therapeutic recommendations, websites and market know-how (Merz products, product launches)

· Ensure that Education and qualification of M&S and Health Care employees are according to legal requirements

· Ensure KOL Management and Medical Liaison for Medical Devices, e.g. treatment guidelines, reimburse-ment, NIS, IITs

· Carry out the development of scientific strategy to gain data (via NIS, IITs, Health Services Research) providing a basis for prescriptions, contracts, new relationships

· Support the Development of Business Unit strategies, objectives and measures

· Able to coach and manage Medical Science Liaison

· Working closely and align with Sales and Marketing team

Requirements:

· Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, M.D., Ph.D. in a medically related field) required with solid relevant clinical or aesthetics experience desired. Masters or Bachelors level degree in health sciences (RN, RPh, PA, Certified Diabetes Educator, NP, etc.) considered if substantial clinical, research or industry (medical/scientific role) experience in relevant aesthetics area is present.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs positions in Rx, OTC, Med. Dev. Markets

· Ability to train and prepare the sales team well in their interactions with medical professionals

· Strong interpersonal skills, including capability to engage in professional relationship building and networking

· Highly motivated with effective problem solving and planning capabilities

· Significant direct experience in servicing customer needs for complex information

· Strong team player
