NTU Shared Services (NSS) is a centralized unit within Nanyang Technological University (NTU) that provides a wide range of administrative, operational, and support services to various departments and units within the university. The Assistant Manager, as a member of NTU Shared Services (NSS) IT Team, is responsible for overseeing Service Desk operations, leading initiatives to enhance and optimize Access Control requests to ensure exceptional service delivery. Your responsibilities as Electrical Engineering Lead / Manager

Ramboll is part of an EPC project, where we are working as engineering contractor for the EPC contractor located in Singapore. The Electrical Engineering Lead / Manager will act as a representative for the engineering contractor during execution at their fabrication yard in the north of Singapore, during the fabrication of an offshore substation topside.

In your role as Electrical Engineering Lead / Manager, your focus will be to ensure that the installation and commissioning of the LV & MV Electrical systems and electrical control systems portion of the mechanical systems adheres to the technical requirements and the design already developed by the engineering contractor. As such, it will be your responsibility to follow up on progress, site queries non-conformance, SAT and commissioning activities and facilitate minor adjustment as needed and daily technical clarifications. In doing so, you shall collaborate closely with representatives from the EPC contractor, the engineering contractor (your back office), Suppliers and other disciplines and representatives from the client as required.

• Relocate to the fabrication yard and provide reliable information to the project manager regarding significant technical issues, particularly risks.
• Shall be integrated into the EPC engineering team.
• Collaborate closely with the fabrication yard representatives, the engineering design office, client’s home office and other discipline representatives at the fabrication yard.
• Where required, liaise and coordinate Electrical tasks with Suppliers, EPC Contractor and other disciplines.
• Trouble shooting / solution finding during fabrication.
• Propose a solution, including supporting documentation, to any design issues, flaws, or gaps in the contract requirements. These shall be agreed upon with Company before implementation.
• Coordinate electrical engineering tasks as needed during execution.
• Review costs for change orders, and progress claims when required.
• Follow up on progress and evaluate / oversee quality from the EPC contractor.
• Interact with clients and stakeholders on technical solutions to ensure the best solution and in the client’s best interest.

You and your competencies

You must have a result-oriented, proactive and systematic approach to your work. You enjoy working both independently and together with co-workers, from both the engineering team and the EPC team thus experience in both design and installation/commissioning is preferred. You will engage with multiple stakeholders during the execution, thus teamwork is essential to achieve results.

Your competencies:

• Have a diploma or master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.
• Have extensive experience in electrical offshore engineering – preferably with offshore substation design and installation/commissioning – with a minimum of 10 years of experience combined with managing of complex engineering tasks.
• Comprehensive understanding of offshore OSS design standards and codes is preferred (e.g., DNV-ST-0145)

• Reporting directly to the Corporate Quality Department Manager, QA/QC Manager will be responsible to:
• Identify and implement Quality Assurance requirement within Corporate Quality Control departments (Procurement and Construction).
• Supporting Corporate Standard procedure and reporting improvement/identification within Corporate Quality Control departments.
• Lead assigned corporate quality projects identified as part of the QMS improvement process.
• QA/QC Manager will be responsible to support specific Project QA Manager during:
• Construction phase on QC related matters (Site Quality Plan, site procedures, etc.) and perform site projects audits.
• Supervise Subcontractor Construction Procedures
• Training site project personnel on quality matters.
• Issue and carry out Site Audit Schedule and management of non conformities, corrective and preventive actions.
• Define and implement Site KPI’s in the specific project..
• Liaison between different disciplines working on the project and with the customers.
• External Audits to subcontractors.
• Carry out Customer satisfaction analysis and Lesson Learned process.

Working hours: 60 per week

Responsibilities:

• Manage the nomination / acceptance of the performing vessel including compliance procedures.
• Monitor the day-to-day operations of the chartered vessels including ETA notices, and cargo readiness
• Coordinate with agents for the arrival / departure formalities of the chartering vessels including berthing and un-berthing.
• Monitor the day-to-day loading / discharging of the vessels.
• Provide vessel’s arrival, berthing, loading / discharging, departure information to Chartering Manager.
• Resolve charter party and bills of lading disputes.
• Prepare laytime statements, and negotiate demurrage, detention and despatch.
• Manage payment of freight, and demurrage / detention if any.

Requirements:

• minimum A Levels / Diploma / Degree in a relevant discipline,
• three (3) years of relevant experiences with dry bulk cargoes, strong analytical and planning skills, excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills using sound, inclusive reasoning and judgment, and a growth mindset with the potential to develop his / her abilities and talents; to learn on the job.
