Reporting to the Head of Fleet Management, this position serves as a business manager who is responsible for all shipboard performance with regards to safety, technical, operation (fuel) and maintenance. He leads the Ship’s Master and Chief Engineer(i.e. Top2) of the assigned vessels.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures vessels are operating in compliance with all Maritime safety rules and regulations and Berge Bulk’s Safety Management System (SMS). Actively promotes a safety culture on board on all assigned vessels.
• Manages vetting, PSC and Class performance. Ensure compliance with all relevant international and local regulations and that all vessel certification and surveys for class, flag and international requirements are compiled and maintained.
