As Rapsodo continues to grow and expand our business internationally, we are looking for a hands-on, driven, and curious Marketing Intern with a passion for collaborating and making a difference to join our team.  

As a Marketing Intern at Rapsodo, you will support the development, management, and execution of Rapsodo’s commercial and marketing omni-channel strategy across the company’s international markets including the United Kingdom, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Assist in managing international e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, Google Shopping) 
• Create & optimise paid advertising campaigns on Google Ads and social media 
• Conceptualise social media content for chosen markets 
• Design & manage regular email marketing campaigns 
• Analyse & report on digital marketing data via Google Analytics & other platforms 
• Collaborate closely with international teams in US and Turkey 
• Assistance across various ad hoc projects in marketing partnerships, media collaboration, and other key areas as assigned by manager 

Experience  

• Able to commit at least 6-months full time internship 
• High learning aptitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills  
• Action oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects 
• Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail 

• Self-starter with a strong desire to learn 

Qualification

1. Activation Calendar & Trade Plan

• Oversee the animation calendar to ensure it is fully updated
• Manage and update the full-year Trade Plan according to changes from Markets, and carry out detailed analysis of YOY trade data by line and by Market

1. Animation Planning & Preparation

• Assist the Marketing team in the feedback of activity proposals from the Markets (podiums, offline activities, and in-store events)
• Assist the Marketing team in developing trade tools adapted to APAC markets for all activations across the region
• Liaise with external suppliers to ensure efficient coordination of trade tool production and delivery to the Markets

1. Visual Merchandising

• Assist the Marketing team in providing in-store VM guidelines and feedback to the Markets
• Assist the Marketing team in developing VM display tools adapted to APAC markets

1. Competition Research & Analysis

• Prepare monthly newsletter detailing key competitor offline and online animations
• Monthly monitoring of competitor product positioning in key markets
• Mystery shopping to monitor competition best practices and key launches
• Conduct in-depth research about industry best practice in terms of Trade Marketing, new launches, and promotion plans (ability to leverage on Chinese sources is required)

1. Translations

• Support the Marketing team in Chinese English translation of contents from Local Markets, and English Chinese translation of regional trade tool content

1. Regional Team support

• Support the Regional team for any ad hoc request
• Support the team in the financial processing of quotations, invoices and updating of budget expenses

1. Sales Strategy Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored for the China market to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.

Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities specific to the region.

Team Leadership:

2. Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.

Set clear objectives and performance metrics for team members, conducting regular performance evaluations.

Client Relationship Management:

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retailers, and distributors in China.

Act as a primary contact for major accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

4. Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior management, highlighting progress against targets and identifying challenges.

Utilize data analytics to monitor sales performance and drive informed decision-making.

Collaboration with Marketing:

5. Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring effective promotion of products tailored to the Chinese market.

Provide insights for product development based on customer feedback and market trends.

Budget Management:

6. Manage sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.

Training and Development:

7. Develop training programs to enhance the sales team’s product knowledge and selling skills.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

- 7+ years of sales experience in the beauty or consumer goods industry, with at least 4 years of experience in the China market.

- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.

- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Scope:

• Oversees all marketing communications efforts for new cars and bikes including ongoing tactical communications (e.g. advertisements, targeting), ongoing operational communications (e.g. localised brochures, flyers, spec cards for all models, promotional flyers, SCs selling kits),
• Launch communications (e.g. launch campaigns and materials, SCs’ sales kits), maintain PML and Motorrad digital presence and CRM-related communications (e.g. eDMs, newsletters).

• In line with the communication efforts, evaluate and plan media channels to ensure maximum reach and minimal cost for all campaigns.
