Role Purpose Statement

The purpose of the role is to grow the footprint of Bunge Loders Croklaan products in Asia Pacific and ensure customer satisfaction liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities

Culinary Industrial Business development

• Lead the expansion of APAC business with Food Service and Retail customers
• Work with Global Customer team to service Key Customers in APAC and develop new opportunities with them, on soft seed oil pricing and flow management
• Manage soft seed oil sourcing from Bunge plants and selected third-party suppliers
• Business travel to meet customers and attend trade events, exhibitions for new leads and turn them into sales
• Reach out to existing clients actively for contract renewal
• Discuss contract terms and conditions with customers
• Take full responsibility on sales margin, includes; analyzing and presenting to regional leadership
• Lead business growth initiatives on industrial, e.g. white space opportunities, include Commercial Excellence meetings participation
• Liaise with origin teams for new product development, customer product approval, specification matching, sampling, and pricing
• Liaise with treasury department to set up trading limits for new customers
• Manage commercial agent business development and sales activities

Culinary All Sales Channels and Bakery (Food Service) Pricing

• Responsible the pricing for edible oils (industrial, food service, retail) and whip topping, to facilitate contract bookings while maximizing profit margin, together with another team member

Market Analysis

• Generate market insights by monitoring market movements, analyzing internal reports and engaging with trading team
• Provide market insights to commercial team and external customers

Commercial Reporting and Operation

• Perform commercial analysis and maintain commercial records, e.g. forecast, action plan, sales channel, commercial reporting, Salesforce
• · Responsible for financial result reporting to leadership, including monthly comments, periodic business review
• · Responsible for commercial forecast and budgeting
• · Manage contract execution with operations team to ensure customer satisfaction, e.g. logistics, freight rates, payments
• Mange customer complaints with internal and external stakeholders

Education/Experience

• More than 3 years of experience in a commercial customer facing function, ideally in commodity or food industry
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Entrepreneurial with strong customer ownership & troubleshooting mind-set
• Good data analytical skill with strength in Microsoft Excel
• A strong communicator
• Strong proficiency in English
• Any proficiency in one Asia language eg. Chinese, Bahasa, Korean

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

• Research and create outreach materials for high value prospects, in partnership with SDRs and AEs

Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is S$80,000 - S$120,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. THE ROLE:

• Responsible for managing the shows daily sales performance and sales team.

• Assist the Event Director and Show Manager to ensure sales strategies are created and followed.

• Work with the Event Director and Show Manager to ensure the financial success of the event by introducing sales activities as and when the need arises to hit and exceed show target.

• Manage and motivate junior staff ensuring the companies standards or performance are met. Train and support junior staff where necessary.

• With the Event Director and Show Manager, liaise with other departments such as operations, marketing and the show team to ensure the smooth running of the event as well as planning and post event responsibilities.

• Support company senior management team with the smooth running of the company as and when required.

Sales

• Manage day-to-day sales on the show and where appropriate junior sales staff.

• Deliver personal sales targets across the event as well as responsible for junior sales staff hitting their personal target.

• Proactively deliver the show strategy across new and existing business.

• Deliver the campaign strategy as set out by the Event Director and Show Manager delivering the show over target including overall numbers of exhibitors, exhibitor mix, stand sales, sponsorship inventory, yield and sponsorship revenues.

• Ensure the sales plan is delivered on target and budget and activity targets (outbound call volumes and face-to-face meetings) are met.

• Support junior sales staff in developing new revenue streams and creative and complex sales such as sponsorships.

• Visit and canvas at competitor and industry events and develop a systematic understanding of and monitoring of competitors.

• With the Event Director and Show Manager run and manage the rebook process and rebook team.

• Role play the junior sales team regularly and share areas for enhanced sales performance and best practice.

• Manage the prospect database to ensure it is constantly updated and is fit for purpose falling in line with the companies CRM policy.

• Ensure a constant high quality of delivery in all prospect, exhibitor and partner communication ensuring the message is on point.

Brands

• Execute the Event Director and teams' strategy and objectives outlined in the event’s business plan.

• Execute the event’s brand strategy, ensuring the event maintains and increases its relevance to its market/s, and it meets visitor and exhibitor expectations.

• Ensure regular meetings with customers, prospects and event partners.

• Ensure that the exhibitor marketing strategy is delivered, monitored and analysed.

• Manage the event floor plan.

• Identify, implement and manage profitable show features.

• Monitor and report competitor activity, taking actions where necessary.

• Understand the market trends and develop your event around it.

Financial

• Maintain an accurate stand and sponsorship ledger.

• Regularly reconcile sales ledger, accounting ledgers and CRM sales logs.

• Provide a monthly report and forecast on show revenues, contribution, manpower and actions that are being taken for the shows to achieve budget.

General Management

• Manage the sales team i.e. ensuring the team is fully briefed and equipped at the start of each power hour.

• Set clear goals and objectives for all reporting staff.

• Set, monitor and evaluate performance targets (with the aid of CRM applications).

• Complete (alongside Event Director and Show Manager) annual and mid-term staff appraisals as necessary.

• Assess, develop and coach all reporting staff (including identifying bespoke training needs of individuals where necessary).

• Motivate the team.

• Coach and develop the team in all aspects of their roles, creating transition map to expanded roles and promotion where appropriate.

Operations

• Work with the operations team to execute the operations strategy that meets/comes in under budget while ensuring high levels of exhibitor and delegate experiences and production values are maintained.

Marketing

• Work with the marketing team to help deliver the event marketing strategy which meets overall visitor numbers (with the right demographics), feature content, visitor and acquisition costs.

• Personally manage selected key industry partnerships in conjunction with the Event Director and Show Manager.

• With the Event Director and Show Manager develop an exhibitor campaign strategy including vertical and horizontal activity.

Relationships

• Foster positive and professional relationships with key suppliers, associations, media and commercial partners.

Responsibility:

a) To achieve sales target set by company

b) To service and maintain good business relationship with existing account

c) To identify new business opportunity and develop new account.

d) To execute sales strategy and meet company’s objective

e) To liaise and coordinate with other divisions internally in regard to customer's request or new project implementation.

f) To provide quotation on customer's inquiry

g) To participate in contract negotiation

h) To review T&Cs between company and customer before implementation.

j) To provide problem reporting and resolution in regard to business issue

Requirements:

a) Min qualification : Diploma

b) Good communication, Interpersonal skill & Negotiation skill

c) Min 2-4 years’ experience in related field

d) Self-motivated & independent

e) IT skill (Well versed in MS Office, Excel {knowledge of Pivot tables & other functions} and presentation skill
