Job Description:
As the Director of Market Development and Financing, you will be responsible for the expansion and development of our company in Southeast Asian markets such as Malaysia and Hong Kong. You will be tasked with planning, executing, and overseeing relevant market development and financing activities. You will report directly to senior management and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of the company's strategic objectives in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute market development strategies for the company in Southeast Asian markets such as Malaysia and Hong Kong, including market research, positioning, promotion, and sales strategies.
2. Identify, evaluate, and select suitable partners and channels for company development, establish long-term stable partnerships, and expand sales networks.
3. Develop and execute financing plans, including identifying investment opportunities, negotiating with investors, and raising funds to ensure the company has sufficient capital during the expansion process.
4. Manage and supervise the work of market development and financing teams, set goals and plans, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure team efficiency and achievement of performance targets.
5. Regularly report market development and financing progress to senior management, provide recommendations and suggestions for improvement to address market changes and challenges.
Requirements:
1. Equivalent to a bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields. 6-10 years of investment and financing experience in the Asia-Pacific region.
2. Proficiency (both writing & speaking) in English, Chinese, Cantonese, and Malay, with established local channels and long-term connections, willing to accept more than 50% travel arrangements.
3. Excellent market analysis, strategic planning, and execution capabilities, able to develop effective market development and financing strategies.
4. Good communication, coordination, and team management skills, able to effectively lead teams to achieve common goals.
5. Strong ability to withstand pressure and solve problems, able to cope with market changes and challenges, maintain team stability and positivity.
6. Strong business acumen and negotiation skills, able to effectively communicate and negotiate with investors, and raise the required funds.
7. Experience in investment and financing work in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the food and beverage industry or related fields, is preferred.
8. Successful experience in market development and business expansion, including establishing sales networks, promoting products, and enhancing brand awareness.
9. Experience in participating in or leading market development projects involving multiple countries, with experience in cross-cultural team cooperation and cross-border market expansion.
10. Familiarity with the business environment and cultural characteristics of Southeast Asia, with in-depth understanding of industry development trends and competitive landscape in local markets.
11. Successful experience in financing, able to independently manage and promote the progress of financing projects, familiar with private equity, venture capital, or other financing channels.
12. Good interpersonal relationships and network resources, able to leverage personal relationships and channels to raise funds for the company and expand business.
13. Some understanding or experience in digital marketing and data analysis, able to use data to support decision-making and optimize market strategies.
