The Sales & Marketing Manager utilizes knowledge of product specifications and applications to drive sales growth. This person develops sales strategies to focus on the lighting systems and be actively engaged with the architects, designers, and the product team throughout all steps in the process to improve lighting solutions.

The Sales & Marketing Manager will stay up to date on market trends and emerging technology, collaborating with the product team and business associates to drive innovation. This person organizes and manages sales administration duties and procedures. The role is to create and maintain a pleasant sales workplace environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, and communication.

The Sales & Marketing Manager reports to Managing Director.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the product team to identify market trends and new product innovation ideas.
• Be well-versed in product presentation, architecture design, lighting agent support and all aspects of project work.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors such as designers and architects.
• Engage, train, and assist the sales team on a wide variety of lighting products, solutions, and applications.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to provide pricing, product offering, feature and benefits, application, and design support.
• Work with leadership to develop realistic sales goals and key performance indicators and budgets by markets and with key customers.
• Ensure a quick and proper response to all customer requests.
• Develop strategies for effective new product launches to achieve sales, market penetration, and profitability goals.
• Manage implementation of a wide range of lighting systems and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, design, lighting, or related studies.
• Minimum of 3 or 5 years of technical sales experience within the lighting industry sectors.
• Strategic planning and execution skills, and self-directed, ability to produce results independently.
• LED experience highly desired or strong relationships in lighting design.
• Already established relationships with architects and designers is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal communications and sales presentation skills with a strong ability to foster rapport and brand loyalty.
• Efficient written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to connect with technical and non-technical decision-makers.
• Able to communicate clearly and efficiently and respond well to objections.
• Lighting Certification.
• Enthusiasm and an understanding of the significance of building strong relationships.

• Host walk-in customers and educate them about the concept of the showroom and its products.
• Assess customer's needs and offer solutions to customers based on their requirements.
• Build trust and maintain relationships with customers.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge including target groups, the product range, industry trends, customization and selling arguments.
• Handle retail responsibilities such as housekeeping of store, providing strong customer service to customers.
• Offer customer complete and professional interior decoration solutions for their homes which adhere to BoConcept guidelines.
• Update personal sales figures daily/weekly and continuously improve performance to meet sales targets.
• Ensure an optimal flow of goods by following up on all deliveries, payments and keeping the stock room well organized.
• Follow up actively on sales orders, deliveries and claims to ensure a high level of after-sales service.
• Make appointments with customers for Interior Design Service.
• Work in collaborative spirit with Interior Designer or appointed contractor by customer (if any).
• Able to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner in order to achieve the overall target.
• Be a strong Brand Ambassador to promote the BoConcept Missions and Vision.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsiblities:

• To handle outdoor sales activities including attend site visits, sales meetings and provide technical advice.
• Review of customer requirements and establishment of relevant quote to customers.
• Proactively explore business opportunities and expand market share to increase customer base in order to achieve optimal sales target
• Develop sales strategies to upkeep and enhance business relationships with existing and new customers.
• Provide Engineering / Technical support to customers.
• Pre-sales preparation and conduct after-sales service through follow-up
• Meet and manage sales targets and enhance revenue growth

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Marine), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
• Required language(s): English, Chinese (to liaise with customers in China);
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Time Management
• Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Sales - Engineering/Technical/IT or equivalent.
• Sales and customer driven with strong selling, presentation and negotiation skills
• Self-driven, results oriented and able to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong desire to excel in sales
• Willing to travel
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license (preferably own car)
