Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
• Min 1 year of Technical sales or field sales support experience
• Possess a valid class 3 Driver's License
• Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience preferred but not compulsory
• Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting in securing and maximising all sales opportunities from assigned market segments to achieve department objectives and key performance indicators
• Actively source for new accounts and develop existing accounts to meet key performance indicators
• Represent RWS by participating in trade shows, conventions and promotional events; Maintain regular contact including site inspections and sales calls with key contacts in the assigned market segments
• Manage and deliver assigned sales KPIs based on the assigned portfolio of corporate /government/education/community/ MICE / Dry, Social & Wedding Events and clients
• Assist / oversee sales outreach events and activities on ad hoc basis
• Plan, develop and execute sales campaigns to increase sales
• Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with corporate clients by providing consistent sales service, prompt follow-up on enquiries and rapport building
• Deliver sales presentations and conduct site inspections to showcase all RWS offerings
• Collaborate with supporting business units to formulate sales proposals that are client focused and ensure timely submission of sales contracts and reports
• Analyze and present weekly sales reports and account portfolio on a monthly basis

Job responsibilities

1. Monitor and receive import & export pre-alerts from oversea offices or agent, check for the ETA date upon receive documents;
2. Perform mapping & verify documents in the system once confirm, notify export team if there are any transshipment cargo for loading in our own consolidation container;
3. Work closely with warehouse/vendor for trucking and unstuffing;
4. Arrange for payment based on carrier billing and declaration of clearance permit (if required);
5. Handover local discharge shipment together with the DO and BL for local clearance process to Operations Team;
6. Update import origin offices the transshipment cargo connecting vessel details;
7. Place booking with co-loader for those shipments that we are not forming our own consolidation;
8. Together submit to the co-loader the necessary documentation and pre-alert destination offices once ready;
9. Perform Profit & Loss analysis for import containers and send out/take in the billing from/to offices;
10. Close file within the timeframe given in SOP.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in LCL shipments handling
• Self-discipline, initiative, and able to work independently

About the role

This position is for a seasoned professional in Customer Service who works independently, resolving complex customer inquiries. This role maintains databases, makes recommendations to management for customer issue prevention and the sales team to identify sales opportunities.
