Job description:
1. Support the MMIC Technology Lead and Cluster Head (Technology) in achieving the visions and missions for establishing the National GaN Technology Centre (NGTC) as a premium GaN technology centre and manufacturing hub.
2. Lead and participate in setting up DC and RF/mmwave characterization and reliability tools and inline electrical testing capabilities for GaN device and circuits.
3. Setting up inline wafer level electrical testing procedures, protocols, and SPC for GaN HEMT devices, passives and MMICs.
4. Test, Characterize and model GaN HEMT and passive devices for MMIC design.
5. Investigate potential performance and reliability failure root causes and propose solutions.
6. Design and simulate GaN stack for R&D pathfinding and planning for advanced GaN-based device technologies.
7. Work with the Engineering and Operations teams in terms of logistical and resources support to ensure timely delivery of assigned projects.
8. Provide weekly progress report to the management.
9. Participate in customer meetings.
Requirements:
1. PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Physics, or closely related fields are welcome to apply.
2. Min 8-10 years of experience in developing and characterizing GaN-on-Silicon or GaN-on-SiC technologies for RF/mmwave applications.
3. Good understanding of GaN-based device and monolithic ICs processes, device physics, on-wafer DC and RF/mmWave characterisation, device modelling.
4. Working knowledge and hands-on experience in Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies, statistical root cause analysis, problem-solving methods, and in-line metrology techniques is desired.
5. Possess strong leadership potential and project management skills, good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with ability to deliver clear and concise messages to both internal and external stakeholders.
