SUTD invites applications for a Research Fellow position in a research project to develop intelligent, secure, and resilient future communications systems. In particular, to support a diverse set of use cases with ever-increasing requirements, the architectural design of 5G and future 6G systems emphasizes software-defined reconfigurability and AI-enabled intelligent operations. Open RAN --- as a generic term used by the community for an open radio access network architecture --- is viewed as a promising way to achieve this design objective. While open RAN promotes interoperable interfaces, RAN virtualization, and support for big data and AI-enabled RAN, its success requires us to overcome multiple challenges --- in particular, how to build intelligence and adaptability into such a system while still providing high assurance regarding its security and resilience. Job Responsibilities:

- Implementation of OHDSI OMOP framework across the national strategic research datasets such as the Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) cohort study, https://gustodatavault.sg/omop/
- Develop and implement data management strategies for standard Common Data Model, vocabulary/ontology, mapping tools, methods and documentation.
- Develop and implement proactive quality control audits/quality management plans across datasets to ensure data mapping accuracies and completeness.
- Generate comprehensive reports and visualisation dashboards to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders, including investigators, physicians and regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements:

- A Bachelor/Master Degree in Public Health, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science of related field.
- Good programming skills (Python, R).

A research fellow or postdoctoral researcher is needed in NRF ANR project to work on the new nanostructured materials for energy storage materials. The project is to understand the catalytic effect based nanomaterials ad their applications in the anode materials of lithium ion batteries.

We request to hire a PhD degree holder in the research field of material science and chemical engineering. The researcher is requested to work with the team on the preparation of the materials and evaluation of the prototype performance in the field.

He/she will design materials and devices. He will be in charge of materials synthesis, characterization and final prototype evaluation. Required skills include multiple fabrication and characterization tools in material science including various deposition techniques, SEM, XRD, Raman, electrochemical evaluation systems. This position is part of the Primary Care and Family Medicine Research Programme involving the Primary Care Research Network and this position is required to support collaborative studies with Primary Care Practitioners and their patients in the community.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Work independently and with study team when required
• Ensure all work processes meet the ethical standards of the University, Singapore Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and other applicable regulatory and ethical requirements

Job Description:

• Be a member of the leadership team to achieve the vision and mission of the National GaN Technology Centre (NGTC).
• Lead the Technology, Engineering and Industry team in technology road mapping and R&D pathfinding in device architecture, fabrication process technology, and MMIC design.
• Lead the Technology team, which comprises (a) characterization & modelling, (b) MMIC design, testing & model validation, (c) device failure and reliability analysis, (d) ultra high frequency GaN-on-SiC device design, layout, fabrication and characterization, and (e) low voltage GaN-on-Silicon device design, layout, fabrication and characterization.
• Coordinate with the Engineering team to develop ultra high frequency devices, ultra low voltage devices, and their MMICs.
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of the projects.
• Initiate and secure research grants and industry funding.
• Initiate, coordinate and manage research collaborations with IHLs and industry partners.
• Provide regular progress report of the Technology team’s activities to NGTC management.
• Represent NGTC in customer meetings.

Requirements:

• PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or closely related fields are welcome to apply.
• Deep understanding of GaN-HEMT device physics and GaN-based MMICs.
• At least 10 years of post-PhD hands-on experience in GaN HEMT and MMIC technology development including design, characterization (e.g. DC, small-signal and load-pull measurement), and modelling; preferably in RF GaN-on-Silicon or GaN-on-SiC technologies.
• At least 8 years of experience in leading a team of research engineers/scientists in managing multiple projects.
• Candidates with industry experience in GaN related R&D would be preferred.
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience in Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies, statistical root cause analysis, problem-solving methods, and in-line metrology techniques is desired.
