What the role is

The Sustainability Division (SD) plans, strategises and develops initiatives to drive resource conservation and environmental sustainability across the public, private and people sectors. The Waste Management Division (WMD) is responsible for the regulation of the waste collection industry, the Public Waste Collection scheme, general waste disposal facilities, the Extended Producer Responsibility, Mandatory Packaging and Waste Reporting schemes. Together, we aim to achieve an efficient and sustainable waste-to-resource management system in Singapore. ​

What you will be working on

You will be part of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment that will be involved in the planning, development and implementation of waste management policies, strategies and initiatives specifically relating to packaging and plastic waste management. This will include the disposable carrier bag charge, beverage container return scheme, Mandatory Packaging Reporting scheme as well as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for packaging waste management etc. Depending on your suitability, you may be responsible for the following:
