Job Responsibilities
- Lead in the negotiation of contract terms and assessment of contract proposals.
- Draft, review and issue contracts and agreements between customers and the Company, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Develop and execute contracts & commercial negotiations and administration strategies for project tendering or administration.
- Prepare and monitor project cost budget, cash-flow for the project and adjust budget projections.
- Work closely with the director, project teams and quantity surveyors to resolve any potential technical and contractual issues and ensure that all legal implications are properly reviewed and managed.
- Administer contracts, prepare proposals and negotiations in accordance with Company’s policies and requirements.
- Analyse contract terms and identify possible risks and opportunities related to the application of contract clauses.
- Provide professional advice and support in tender exercise and subsequently, prepare the contract documentation / schedules.
- Manage any post tender queries, clarification, contract claims, disputes, or conflicts.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and procurement strategy.
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Value completed work and make progress claims.
- Execute other assigned tasks as delegated by the management team.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Preferably with at least above 8 years of experience in construction.
- Well versed in both public and private sector conditions of contract and construction law of Singapore.
- Excellent written, communication and negotiation skills.
