PREREQUISITES

Education: Some high school or equivalent

Experience & Skills: No previous experience required. Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.

Physical: Must be able to work at any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 5 kilograms frequently and up to 20 kilograms occasionally.

• Consults with clients/customers and determines catering options based on the client’s needs.

• Prepares required catering forms, completing meticulous tasks and negotiating pricing.

• Preparation and planning of the venue for the events, including menus, equipment, food, and

services.

• Restuarant managers are responsible to hire, train, and supervise the staff. This is

inclusive of schedule organization and ensuring proper event staffing.

• Communicating effectively with clients, staff, and third party vendors.

• Restaurant manager facilitates the arrangements of seating, the serving of food and beverages,

and maintaining cleanliness of tables.

• Restaurant expenses, and accurate records will be kept and organized by the manager.

• Adhere and facilities the needs of the food and health industry safety regulation and standards.

• Research and keep up with catering trends to promote competitive catering services. Needs

substantial or expert knowledge of electronic restaurant management systems.

• Proficiency, ability meet deadlines, and complete the job within budget in required.

• Prior experience and knowledge of the processes for hiring, training, and overseeing

staff is required.

• Advanced or expert knowledge of the best restaurant management practices is required.

• Willing to work late, weekends or public holidays if equired.

• Oversee all activities and communications regarding outgoing and incoming shipments for all projects to ensure accuracy and timely preparation of necessary documentation.
• Ensure standard procedures, administrative and legal formalities, terms, and conditions are followed and completed when third parties are hired for projects.
• Communicate shipment timelines internally to make sure other functions can plan properly and meet the deadlines.
• Work with the Sales Team to assist them with freight estimation for quotation purposes.
• Determine and analyze budget for logistics needed to fulfill the project's requirements.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department to obtain necessary approval for budget and satisfy required documentation.
• Maintain high accuracy in all document preparations for logistics.
• Ensure best service and best pricing in logistic activities.
• Ensure equipment is received as scheduled by continual follow-up and communication with freight forwarders, and resolve any issues as and when required.
• Develop strong working relationships and cooperation with other functions and departments.
• Support purchasing strategies (sourcing, negotiation & cost management, quality and delivery terms, documentation) and manage procurement and rental of any external resources, services, and facilities required to support the projects or operations.
• Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and service providers for optimum pricing and support.
• Develop and improve SOPs for Logistics and procurement.
• Assist in the implementation of goals and policies for effective improvements in Operations.
