Purpose and Scope

The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and lifespan of assets. Key Roles and Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge of reliability methodologies, including FMEA, RCM, and condition-based maintenance.

FORMAL PREREQUISITES FOR THE POSITION

Technical Skills:

• Participate in the root cause analysis (RCA) on process incidents and process inducted mechanical failures, recommend corrective actions to permanently eliminate them and follow up on closure of the actions.
• Initiate the Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) and execute the changes for plant improvement and modification works.
• Facing External / Internal Audit and closing of the actions within given time limit.
• Identifying bad actors in the plant and reliability improvement by implementing short term and long term solutions.

Required Qualifications/Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 7 years’ of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry or Diploma holder with 10 years’ maintenance experience Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry preferred.
• Experience in a Gas Plant such as Gasification/SMR/ASU is an advantage.
• Good conceptual knowledge on design and maintenance of all Rotating Equipment such as Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors, Screw Compressors, Multistage Pumps etc.
• Good conceptual knowledge of Industrial standards such as API, ASME etc for Rotating & associated Static Equipment.

Job Description

• Co-ordination and supervision of M&E works
• Liaise with M&E Consultants
• Ascertain and make provision for all M&E and building services in collaboration with the project staff
• Monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with authority requirements.
• Highlight and advise the project staff on the interfacing of M&E services and the building works
• Coordination with multiple parties not limiting to design consultants / engineers, clients’ project representatives, statutory / authority agencies etc. for the establishment of the design deliverables requirements for submission
• Review design deliverables together with the design consultants / engineers and ensure that it is in order for submission
• Attend to technical clarifications as and when required to address technical issues and establish method statements
• Project Management and sites supervision works.
• Able to coordinate with contractors and consultants for engineering issues and drawing plans.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, processes, systems and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Minimum six (6) years of engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control and eligible for application as a Resident Engineer or Recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer, and at least five (5) years of experience in the construction supervision for building projects with basement structures.
