Senior Resident Engineer

Responsibilities:

• To assist QP(Supervision) on the site supervision and coordination works.
• To attend site meetings and resolve site technical issues.
• To review contractor’s submission.
• To lead and arrange the duties of a team of REs and RTOs.

Requirements:

• Registered with IES as Resident Engineer (RE) in Singapore.
• Minimum 8 years of experience and at least 3 years in viaduct structures and/ MRT Station experience.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Job Description

• Undertake precast concrete proposal
• Provide quality check on shop drawings
• Liaise with respective parties for precast/project related issues from inception to completion of project
• Overall project planning and management to meet time, cost, and quality objectives
• Managing of production progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis by analysing output, identifying issues, troubleshoot and sharing the results internally.
• Effectively plan and manage the die-set, machines, materials, manpower planning, and production schedules to optimize production quantity and produce high quality products, by making the right decision to maximize the results.
• Daily equipment maintenance work plan
• Maintain good housekeeping and discipline

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering/Higher National ITE Certificate in Technology Civil & Structural Engineering Design
• At least five years of related working experience in Precast Concrete
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of automation preferred
• Confident in analysing and solving production-related problems and demonstrating strong leadership in managing / supervising manpower and collaborating with other departments.
• Able to work independently and in a team

Job Responsibilities

5. Optimization and Improvement

• Continuously improve motion control systems for better efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in motion control technology.
• Implement feedback from field tests and customer use to refine system designs.

6. Project Management

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineers to align with project goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Technical Skills

• Proficiency in motion control technologies and principles.
• Experience with CAD software for designing mechanical and electrical components.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C/C++, MATLAB, Python) for developing control algorithms.
• Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems.
