Work you will do
Deloitte brings together professionals with diverse experience to provide customized solutions for clients across all segments of the banking and capital markets industries. We serve our clients locally, while drawing upon the firm’s considerable global resources and industry expertise.
This position aims to provide transformational support to internationally active banks operating in the Southeast Asia (SEA) Region in the Financial Services Industry. You will work alongside our clients to help them to carry out transformation processes in a post-merger environment to make decisions and implement solutions through driving business value through execution and implementation.
You will work across all key segments within banking and drive the latest and best-in-class transformation narrative for our banking sector clients across SEA. Typical engagements which you could be involved in include:
- Accompanying compliance and regulatory risk management challenges in the context of bank mergers, including complex program management
- Translating regulatory requirements and compliance issues into business requirements, performing integrity risk assessments, and reporting on client integrity risks
- Managing large transformation and migration projects within financial services, including the establishment of quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement programs
- Providing regulatory response support
- Assisting in on-site inspections
You will exercise strong analytical and critical thinking skills, solve complex problems, communicate your findings, conduct impact assessment, and change management. Finally, you will work independently and collaboratively in a (global) team.
You will support our clients in their transformation journey by:
- Identifying business requirements/overall strategy and vision, and any opportunities for efficiencies in existing process / service design.
- Transformation and Migration risk analysis, risk mitigation, risk acceptance
- Monitor and maintain risk log, facilitate risk reporting, and escalate if necessary.
- Support on regulatory engagement
- Participating in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues.
- Maintaining responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
- Support key output acceptance of the different work products, especially in the communication with the 2nd and 3rd line.
- Assisting in proposal development, as requested
- Actively expanding consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

Requirements:
If you are someone with:
- Tertiary qualification from a well ranked institution.
- Minimum 10+ years of working experience in the Consulting Industry and Financial Services Industry – with focus on Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance
- Has achieved success in developing businesses at leading player(s) within the Financial Services Industry and/or growing a consulting practice in both team and revenue.
- Extensive know-how and Financial Services experience with deep knowledge across the complete products and services spectrum in Private and Institutional Banking and Investment Management
- Deep knowhow about E2E process based on previous experience in leading roles in Financial Services in Banking
- Experience leading strategy, definition, and implementation with these areas:
o Merger and post-merger environment of an internationally active bank
o Target Operating Model-led transformation to enable key drivers of change in financial services for regulatory change.
- Experience in Regulatory engagement and especially regulatory response
- Proficient in excel and PowerPoint usage to present recommendations to clients and to ensure a stakeholder-adequate communication.
- Experience in design, implementation and execution of Quality Assurance and Control processes within large transitions and or migrations
- Exceptional interpersonal, team building, and communication skills showcasing executive presence with demonstrated ability to manage senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings.
- Commitment to professional excellence, as well as personal and professional growth.
- An appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and ability to travel (both locally and abroad) is a pre-requisite to fit to our short-term and long-term project assignment.
