Junior Quantity Surveyor

• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Working Timing: 8:30am to 6pm
• Working Location: Admiralty
• Starting Salary: $3000 to $3500 per month

Job Descriptions:

• Prepares bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, measuring in the tendering process.
• Obtains, compiles, and evaluates quotations from the respective suppliers/vendors according to tender/contract requirements.
• Handle progress claims, variation orders & finalization of accounts.
• Attend site meetings with clients when required.
• Liaise with Consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned by QS Manager

Requirements:

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying/ Building or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Cubicost Glodon will be a plus.

Scope

1. Organize & Manage production according to demand and quality standards.
2. Ensure delivery of goods on time in a profitable manner.
3. Identify production and planning improvement opportunities within the organization.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate production workflow for multiple products.
2. Establish and monitor manufacturing and scheduling output information.
3. Monitor jobs to ensure on time delivery and budget target. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
4. Manufacture new tools from technical drawings to a high level of workmanship and in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
5. Determine manpower, equipment, tool and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
6. Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations, quality control, warehouse.
7. Schedule shift according to production needs.
8. Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
9. Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
10. Keep paperwork organized.
11. Manage the running & plan activities of the tool room facilities and toolmakers, ensuring the tool room is a safe environment in line with health, safety and environmental requirements.
12. Availability of tools to ensure continuous production
13. Implement storage of tools to facilitate highest standards within the department for good housekeeping, health, safety and environmental.
14. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety

Work Experience & Skill

1. Proven experience as production planner.
2. Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
3. Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen,lean manufacturing.
4. Experience in MRP (Manufacturing resource planning) or other planning tool.
5. Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
6. Good at math and statistics.
7. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication abilities.
9. High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred.
10. Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred.
11. Extensive plant level experience with significant proven supervisory experience.
12. Technical understanding.
13. Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for manufacturing.
14. Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Daily collection of trade images
• Ensure timely submission of images by the respective teams
• Translate all images collected into data according to 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion)
• Maintain data entry requirements by following work procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Maintain data base by entering new and update information
• Ensure that appropriate results and information has been achieved

Requirements

• Possess minimum GCE 'O' Level
• Minimum 1 year of data entry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, proactive, and a good team player
• Able to work independently

Requirements:

Assist Senior Project Manager/HOD in the feasibility study of identified projects as they arise

Manage the project sites and operations by overseeing the day to day running of all matters related to the construction of the project.

Ensure that all projects are duly completed within budget and high quality

Lead the project(s) and will be in charge of quality, safety and environmental matters as well as costing and delivery

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the assigned project(s)

Assist Director with feasibility study, due diligence, procurement, maintenance, etc

Identify potential construction related issues or contractual disputes and remedy through appropriate solutions

Any other ad hoc duties assigned

Minimum diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying ,Rebar, carpenter or Construction Management

Possess more than 10 years of experience in project management
