Overview of the role

You will be accountable for regional and local oversight and compliance to SAFE, GAAP/ legal requirements and internal controls across Global Skin Sector. The role operates the Global level and also provides support to specific Business Units / markets. This role engages with the regional and local leadership teams on clarity of governance priorities, governance agendas, external legal requirements, internal stewardship focus areas, timely and quality audit completion, and quality remediation to all issues. This role is also responsible for conducting self-audits as needed to improve governance systems and build capability of the total organization.

Your team

This role reports to the Finance Vice President and works closely with the Multifunction leadership team on stewardship and governance priorities.

This role will manage a team of 2 direct reportees.

Responsibilities of the role

• Responsible for Global oversight and compliance to internal P&G stewardship guidelines and internal controls across Global Skin business units.

Qualifications

Imperial Global Singapore is Imperial’s formal legal entity in Singapore to undertake research and innovation projects in collaboration with universities, industry, government, and third-sector partners from across the Singapore ecosystem.

Hosted at the Singapore National Research Foundations Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE) and located at the National University of Singapore UTown Campus, Imperial Global Singapore provides the physical and administrative infrastructure to extend Imperial’s research and innovation activities to Singapore and broader South East Asia. CREATE hosts interdisciplinary research centres from top global universities including other key strategic partners including CNRS, MIT, and TU Munich.

The Associate Director, Imperial Global Singapore works as part of the Imperial Global Singapore leadership team (with the Academic Director) to ensure the strategic development and operational effectiveness of the research and innovation centre in Singapore.

The post-holder will play a key role in developing Imperial Global Singapore as a regional hub for high impact partnerships covering research, education and innovation. This will involve representing Imperial within Singapore and the wider region, including engagement with alumni, advancement prospects, industry, government, and third-sector partners to forward Imperial’s strategic goals. The role holder will also support visiting delegation from Imperial, including logistics, itineraries, and event planning in collaboration with the International Relations Office, Advancement, and other teams at Imperial.

The post holder also has operational responsibility for all day-to-day non-academic activities of the centre, including research grant pre- and post-award activities, people management, financial management, and establishing and maintaining partnerships with funders and collaborating institutions. The Associate Director will also be responsible for line management of professional and technical staff, including their recruitment, appraisal, and development.

Key Responsibilities

• With the Academic Director and Leadership in London, lead strategic planning, people strategy and development, and revenue generation, developing and implementing a vision and strategic plan for the long-term success of Imperial Global Singapore.

Guided by a 10 year Strategic Framework and a four year Program Design (2022-2026). APLMA is well positioned continue building visibility for Asia Pacific both regionally and globally through robust technical advocacy.

A highly motivated and mission-driven individual, the Senior Associate Director will be responsible for the oversight and management of APLMA country program activities aimed at combatting Malaria, Vector-Borne and Neglected Tropical diseases across the Asia Pacific region. This role will be instrumental in leading the development and implementation of effective engagement strategies for both high-burden and near-elimination countries.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise in malaria, vector borne, or other infectious diseases coupled with familiarity in working with national public health programs, as well as, bi- and multi-lateral partners. He/She should also be a strategic thinker, with health policy engagement and a passion for public health. He/She will report to the Executive Vice President for Strategy.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Engagement: Country Programs

• Engage strategically with specific in-country partners while providing oversight of a comprehensive Asia Pacific country engagement strategy with a key focus to support high-burden countries (India, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea) and near-elimination countries (Greater Mekong Sub-Region).
• Oversee the design, implementation and evaluation of country support programs, ensuring APLMA’s alignment with relevant national malaria / vector-borne disease control / neglected tropical disease programs within the Ministry of Health / Department of Health’s organizational goals and strategies and in coordination with WHO and other technical partners.
• Ensure the effective utilization of resources and achievement of program objectives within budget and timeline constraints.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Management of a team of people covering the full range of Distinct Area of Work (DAW) within the Commercial Finance family. Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you would possess the following qualification, skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from a local or internationally recognized institution.
• 6-8 years of progressive experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis is essential.
• As this role contributes to the overall P&L of the business, deep understanding of commercial finance functions and processes is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, including at least 1 year of experience in managing and developing a global team of 3-4 is a must.
• Previous experience in finance capacity within large engineering or energy organization is a must.
• Proven track record of success in a complex, matrixed multinational organization.
