ABOUT THE ROLE
We seek an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join Operations team. The successful candidate will optimise manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and ensure high-quality products. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
â—Ź Process Optimization:
â—‹ Analyze and optimize zinc die casting processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
â—‹ Implement process improvements, monitor results, and adjust as necessary.
â—Ź Process Design and Development:
â—‹ Design, develop, and implement new die casting processes and tooling.
â—‹ Collaborate with tooling designers to ensure optimal die design.
â—Ź Quality Control:
â—‹ Develop and maintain quality control procedures.
â—‹ Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
â—Ź Equipment Maintenance:
â—‹ Ensure proper maintenance of die casting machines and peripheral equipment.
â—‹ Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
â—Ź Safety and Compliance:
â—‹ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
â—‹ Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements.
â—Ź Training and Development:
â—‹ Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
â—‹ Develop and maintain training documentation.
â—Ź Continuous Improvement:
â—‹ Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
â—‹ Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
â—Ź Collaboration:
â—‹ Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
â—‹ Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers.
â—Ź Project Management:
â—‹ Manage projects related to process improvements, new product introductions, and equipment upgrades.
â—Ź Data Analysis:
â—‹ Collect and analyze data to measure process performance.
â—‹ Use data to drive decision-making and process optimization.
CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS
â—Ź Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
â—Ź Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in molding/ casting or a related industry.
â—Ź Strong knowledge of metal component manufacturing and tool design.
â—Ź Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
â—Ź Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and process simulation tools.
â—Ź Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
â—Ź Ability to work in a factory environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
â—Ź Advantage if candidate has experience in automation, robotics, and familiar with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
