Job Descrition

• Perform Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to users in Singapore and Asia Pacific.
• Proactively ensure high value customer service by providing customers with specific delivery times for IT solutions and clear communications, limiting the use of technology terms when not needed.
• Handle users’ requests for install/move/add/change of PC hardware and software.
• IT Asset Management - Perform asset (hardware and software) inventory, tracking and equipment retirement.
• Support the GLOBAL IT Technology refresh projects.
• Monitor and report local inventory.
• Identify and report incidents trends.
• Document processes and work instructions.
• Involve in RFQ activities for IT hardware and software.

Requirement

• At least Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical or Computer Engineering from a local polytechnic.
• At least 2 years working experience in an IT support environment with knowledge on Service Delivery operations and support including incident management in a regional environment.
• Experienced working in a regional environment for a MNC.
• Assist in compiling and analyzing statistical data and trends.
• Excellent Communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to interact effectively with others.

Key Responsibilities
1. Partner with GTO Retail & Channels T&O (GRCTO) teams to identify the pipeline of new initiatives and project notations2. Organize and track the pipeline, capturing data on readiness for approval and other relevant data3. Ensure there is an aligned pipeline view across GRCTO and GTO COO Office4. Maintain and update GRCTO projects approval data and dashboard5. Partner with GTO COO Office and Delivery Teams to organize and track in-flight projects6. You will be part of an IT infrastructure Support Team managing mission critical high-tech biometrics devices at critical locations of significant national interest. You will be trained to manage, troubleshoot and maintain the operational availability of these devices and to remedy faults to prevent operational downtime.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:-

• Support the project teams in the implementation, installation and configuration of PCs/Workstations O.S., applications and related peripheral devices.
• Provide 1st level on-site IT support to the end-users on a 24x7 rotational shift, from 10 am to 10 pm/ 10 pm to 10 am, including Public Holidays.
• The successful applicants should be prepared to be deployed primarily at Tuas Checkpoint. The successful applicant could be deployed to the Tuas checkpoint in the future on a rotational basis.
• Provide findings and timely status updates to the Project Manager on major issues escalated by users.
• Perform daily health checks and inventory checks on the system.
• Experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting of PC / peripheral devices and application maintenance support will be required.
• Hands-on experience in supporting end-users in a Windows (Windows clients) environment is required.

• Experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of biometrics devices as well as the maintenance of related software applications.

Customer Service

• Support order processing with high accuracy and speed according to customers’ requests
• Continuously suggest improvements to Reporting Officer for departmental growth and minimizing error
• Respond to customer requests and/or orders - via phone, fax, email, and retrieval from online portals
• Handle customers’ requests professionally with proper phone/email etiquette and achieve customers’ satisfaction on CFF customer service
• Issue goods return note and stock exchange forms
• Raise credit / debit / stock transfer request forms
• Liaise with logistics, purchasing and sales on stock and delivery issues

Sales Support

• Engage regular sales calls and visiting with the given portfolio of customers
