• Support on desktops, notebooks, printers, scanners hardware components

Key Responsibilities:

• Coverage of products including variance swaps, warrants, equity linked structured notes, equity options, CDS, IRS, FX, FX options, asset swap, currencies swap, NDF, etc.
• Liaise with clients on trade settlement issues including pre-settlement confirmations and exchanging of SSI
• Resolve trade discrepancies with trade control, clients and front office
• Ensure accurate, timely and complete daily settlement of trades
• Resolve settlement breaks
• Drive process improvement initiatives with internal stakeholders within/across regions
• Participate in internal controls, audit and regulatory related tasks/projects
• Review month-end balance sheet accounts

To succeed in this role, the candidate would require to be well-organised with minimal supervision. The successful candidate would also require strong analytical skills. Relevant experience understanding of the front to back trade lifecycle processes is also necessary.

Role

The role’s initial focus will be to build databases and models with guidance from the team. Subsequently, the candidate is expected to assist and be responsible for delivering comprehensive fundamental analysis of the global thermal coal markets, including supply and demand. Ultimately, the individual will need to integrate commodities knowledge into freight research and be involved in formulating trading strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental analysis and provide clear short-term and long-term forecast on commodities' flows.
• Develop and maintain demand and supply models of global commodities' trade.
• Monitor daily news to identify and flag potential risks or changes in market condition that could affect forecast.
• Ability to package valuable insights and translate market impact effectively to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain network with coal industry contacts in the market for data and crosschecking information.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, or Shipping from a recognised university preferred.
• Ideally 3-5 years of experience in energy/power markets and freight shipping research.
• High level of proficiency in English and Mandarin.
