As a Senior Manager, Front-End Materials, Global Supplier Quality Engineering, you will manage a team to define SPEC GAS & SPEC CHEM Supplier Quality Strategy, Execution plans and Excursion Prevention Programs so as to develop Suppliers through Continuous Improvement Programs to ensure consistent supply of Quality procured materials/services to Micron. You will need to possess both Technical knowledge of Semiconductor Materials and a broad understanding of Supplier blueprint, globally.
You will work in close partnership with key collaborators such as Global Quality, Global Procurement, Technology Development (TD), Global Operation Central Team (OCT), Operations, Site IQC and Process & Equipment Engineering to develop, implement and measure the efficiency of Supplier Quality Management Program.
In addition, you will support Supplier Performance Reviews to ensure suppliers receive timely and accurate supplier performance feedback based on consistent metrics and that supplier quality issues are effectively mitigated, and the expectation of continuous improvement is understood and realized.
You are responsible to improve the Supplier Quality Business Processes and establish the team’s Subject Matter Expertise (SME). You are expected to nurture and reinforce appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Provide mentorship on employee development, performance, and productivity issues. You will also identify staffing needs and make hiring decisions for your group.
Responsibilities
Set Strategy and Vision
- Develop and align Spec Gas/ Spec Chem multi-year Quality roadmaps that align with evolving technology needs and supplier landscape.
- Provide advice to Senior Leaders and Executives on strategic supplier engagement decisions, to ensure alignment with quality goals.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders on strategic projects, ensuring Quality insights are integrated to complement technology requirements and cost targets.
Lead Supplier Quality Programs aligned to Micron Technode Roadmap
- Key Material-Supplier Liaison for Critical Technology Projects.
- Work closely with TD to ensure that Quality considerations are taken into account, during the development phase.
- Handle technology transfer material-supplier projects and supervise their implementation and results.
- Develop, communicate, and report metrics to Senior Leaders and Executives.
Develop and Manage team performance to plan
- Lead the team to develop Spec Gas/ Spec Chem Category Quality Strategies for supplier/ material development programs, including the Quality Roadmap and Defense Line Program.
- Guide the team in developing Subject Matter Expertise, overseeing global issues resolution and providing ample opportunities to build material knowledge, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
Collaborate with Stakeholders, Partners, and Suppliers on Category Strategies
- Initiate and sustain effective communication with team members, partners, and suppliers
- Share updates back to the Director and/or Global Quality Leadership Teams
- Advance issues, offering options and recommendations for resolution
- Communicate strategic goals, category management plans, initiatives, and targets
- Build and cultivate relationships with key internal and supplier executives
- Provides advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or any related Engineering Field
- More than 5 years of leadership position
- At least 10 years’ experience in Semiconductor or speciality gases/ speciality chemicals manufacturing.
- Strong technical background in speciality gases/ speciality chemicals application
- Good communication skills across all level including with senior leadership, and stakeholders, and also be able to deliver presentations at an executive level
- Ability to interact and work effectively interested parties, including supplier, across all levels.
- Experienced in resolving conflicts building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional organizations to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements.
