We’re looking to add an Engineer, Process in Singapore. The position will be based in our Univac Site in Woodlands.
As an Engineer, Process, you will:
Provide engineering support for sustaining production and projects in the Medical and Life Sciences sectors. Responsibilities for sustaining production include quality, productivity, and process improvement. Project work may involve process development, characterization, and production start-up. Ensure all documentation complies with ISO13485 or respective product documentation requirements.
The key responsibilities are as below:
- Lead and provide engineering support and solutions for sustaining production and projects.
- Lead, participate in, and support projects such as line transfer and setup, process development, or automation.
- Provide timely engineering support to ensure the production line runs smoothly and meets operational goals.
- Collaborate closely with production teams and customers to resolve line quality issues.
- Improve and ensure line processes are controlled using SPC, Cpk, FMEA, and other statistical tools.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and achieve uptime/OEE targets.
- Initiate, lead, and implement yield and productivity improvement projects.
- Write IOPQ protocols, perform validations, and manage reporting and documentation.
- Generate and maintain Assembly/Maintenance Work Instructions.
- Implement changes on the line through Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Provide training to Technicians and Operators.
- Ensure the production line complies with the ISO 13485 Quality System.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, and/or equivalent experience.
- Knowledgeable in SPC, DOE, DFMEA, or plastics bonding process for assembly of medical devices.
- Experience in performing IOPQ protocol and validation or process development.
- Experience working with automated assembly line or supplier on automation project.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented.
- Strong leadership qualities, independent, and a team player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working in cross-disciplinary teams.
