JOB SUMMARY

• You will be part of a team to organise and oversee the end-to-end process of YMCA Club LITE, a social club for youths with special needs, which aim to engage them, help improve their quality of life, provide opportunities, or to prepare them towards independent living.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Main point of contact for following up on enquiries and referrals from various channels.
• Conduct outreach by reaching out to potential partners / channels.
• Conduct bi-monthly check-ins with clients (active and passive) to check on progress / status.
• Manage members’ case files.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of club information and documents.
• Assist and support administrative requirements.
• Work closely with team to identify and support gaps.
• Support in facilitating, coordinating and executing programmes
• Support in the day-to-day functions and operations of the club.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline.
• 1 - 2 years of experience in administration or customer service.
• At least 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in social service sector.
• Experience in working or interacting with persons with special needs is a bonus.
• Passionate in serving the community and helping youths with special needs.
• IT savvy; able to work on the cloud and familiar with MS Office suite.
• A strong team-player with good interpersonal skills.
• Works effectively as part of a team, recognizes areas where support is required and offers assistance.
• Willing and able to carry out set-ups for programmes and moving of logistics.
• Attention to detail, able to multi-task, work independently, take initiative and ownership of projects / tasks assigned.

Responsibility:

• Responsible for provision, deployment, configuration, and administration of many different pieces of network and security-related hardware and software.
• Responsible for evaluate, test, and troubleshoot technologies when new technologies are onboard
• Responsible for provide technical support for resolution of customer problems, incidents, issues, requests, and queries
• Responsible on Network Security with monitoring and control tasks to ensure processes and implementations are executed correctly
• Experience with firewall rules implementation and troubleshooting upon incidents.

Requirements:

What the role is

You will be part of the Modelling & Instrumentation Department (MID) in the Environmental Monitoring & Modelling Division (EMMD). The Environmental Monitoring Instrumentation Branch within MID is responsible for ensuring that our air and water quality monitoring equipment and systems run smoothly to continuously provide accurate and timely air and water quality data. The Branch is also responsible for setting up the new air quality supersites and conducting trials to test and assess new and emerging air and water monitoring technologies.

What you will be working on

As part of the Environmental Monitoring Instrumentation Branch, you will oversee and manage a team of senior/executive engineers and engineering managers and will be responsible for the following:

• Plan and manage the setup of new air quality supersites, including calling and managing contracts, work with academics and vendors to evaluate air quality monitoring systems.
• Manage the maintenance, repair and replacement of the scientific air pollutant analysers and station shelters according to set schedule to ensure smooth operations of our air and water monitoring systems
• Plan the implementation of upgrading and migration of the related ICT systems and platforms to ensure it meets IT security requirements and requirements
• Review of existing air / water monitoring systems and work processes to identify and implement improvements at a system level (e.g. automation of processes, remote access of data from portable equipment, suitable technological solutions and scientific instrumentations/systems), to enhance efficiency of operations and management of the various systems
• Propose and plan the implementation of testbeds and trials for emerging technologies and systems for monitoring of air and water quality
• Plan and perform data analysis on data collected from trials or air and water monitoring systems, to identify areas of improvement, insights, or to assess the effectiveness of the systems/trials, as well as conceptualise, plan, and implement the next phase or steps for the identified system.
• Translate successful test bedding projects and trials to operational monitoring systems, taking into consideration all necessary operational, site integration and IT security requirements
• Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies and vendors, to develop and integrate new monitoring systems onto a common NEA-wide sensor platform

What we are looking for

• Degree in Environmental/Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Preferably 5 years of working experience in Environmental/Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical engineering fields.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the overall technical management of our fleet.
• This includes overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking, etc.
• Ensure the assigned vessels are technically operational or otherwise managed accordingly to the management agreement requirement.
• Liaise with vendors and operation/marketing teams on technical and operational readiness including vessel performance, etc
• Perform evaluation for dry-docking, repair quotes and selection of shipyards for repair works, ship maintenance etc
• Attend to vessel dry docking, repairs and survey when required and determine repair specifications for dry docking and maintenance.
• Provide and compile documented reports upon completion of dry docking, including summaries of works performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditures.
• Identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessels and ensure the rates are most economical.
• Monitor technical status of vessel with relation to class cert and survey
• Ensure that all copies of statutory, SOLAS and equipment certificates (life rafts, compasses, etc) are properly maintained and documented.
• Provide technical assistance and advice to ships both at home port and overseas.
• Perform monthly review of logs processes and attend to vessel inspections
• Supervise contractors’ repair/maintenance of vessels
• Perform budgeting and cost control measures on ship spares and docking requirements
• Perform technical compliance audits and investigation on defects/failures on a regular scheduled basis to ensure conformance
• Work closely with the HSE Management team to ensure smooth and successful implementation of QHSE system and policies for the Division.
• Perform systematic review of recommended codes, guidelines and standards and ensure compliance with Quality & Safety Management standards
• Ensure and maintain vessels’ zero loss time accident record and to report all vessel incidents,
• Near Misses to prevent and eliminate potential incidents.
• Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required.

Requirements

• Possess relevant sea-going work experience as Chief Engineer/Marine Engineer with minimum class 1 certification or equivalent with in experience in oil/ chemical tanker.
• LPG/ LNG gas carrier experience and/or new build experience would be advantageous but not necessary.
• Experience in leading a technical team
• Possess good organisational and communication skills and hands-on.
• Independent and resourceful. Able to work under pressure to meet deadline
• Analytical and highly proactive in technical trouble shooting and problem solving
• Able to conduct effective stand-up training for vessel crews
• Ability to travel within short notice as required
• Must have Class 1 COC
