Responsible for civil and steel structures scopes for building construction works.

- Study tender / construction drawings, specifications, contracts scope of works to understand project requirements.

Your Job

• Implement environmental programs for air, water, waste and energy, and monitor compliance with local environmental legislation, GlobalFoundries EHS Standards, and site targets and objectives.
• Assess the environmental impact and risks of existing operations and of proposed changes. Lead technical investigations to determine potential risks to environmental, health and safety, and develop and implement mitigation plans.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

1. Work and coordinate with the mechanical/HVAC designers and 3D modellers.

2. Perform concept design, FEED design, FEED verification or detail design on mechanical discipline.

3. Design mechanical and HVAC system for offshore hull and marine application.

4. Work on all engineering designs, documents and drawings to comply with the client and project specifications, class requirements, local government regulatory compliance and applicable international standards.

5. Perform mechanical calculations for hull and marine mechanical and HVAC equipment as required.

6. Prepare equipment specifications and datasheets for procurement.

7. Prepare vendor equipment technical proposal and technical bid evaluation (TBE) and selection of equipment.

8. Carry out equipment layout and equipment material handling study.

9. Design mechanical/HVAC equipment and ducting layout and review 3D modelling.

10. Incorporate equipment vendor certified documents (VCD) into the design.

11. Coordinate internally with other disciplines to resolve design issues and interface matters.

12. Incorporate recommendation from design review and safety study workshop meeting, incl. HAZID/HAZOP, 3D model review, regulatory compliance workshop, etc. into the design.

13. Co-ordinate internally with other disciplines on design development, resolve design and interface related issues.

Job Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of working experience in the area of basic and detailed design in shipbuilding, marine & offshore and oil & gas, offshore new energy industry, etc.

1. Proven working experience in a wide range of shipbuilding and marine & offshore structures (e.g. self-elevating units, column stabilized units, surface type units, new build or conversion FPSO/FSO/FPU/MOPU hull and topside design), participated in at least 1 offshore project.

2. Diploma in mechanical engineering or related engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of construction engineers and supervisors for the safe, efficient, and quality execution of construction works assigned.

• Organizing for preparation of piping systems for testing based on the test pack limits specified in the approved test packs.
• Attend final walkthrough of completed piping systems and verify clearing of all punch list prior to mechanical completion

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering
• 10 years’ experience in the process and/or utility/power construction industry.
• Experience in most areas, including field engineering, project control, quality control, administration of contracts and subcontracts, craft supervision, field superintendence, safety, labour relations, maintenance, turnarounds and outages, commissioning and other applicable positions and functions.
