• Experience with other programming languages and technologies relevant to automation, such as PLC programming, Python, or Java.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols and standards used in automation and machine control.

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Procurement Engineer (Electronics) to join Leica Geosystems, a part of Hexagon AB that provides innovative solutions for the Surveying, Buildings, and Heavy Construction industries.

The Senior / Procurement Engineer (Electronics) oversees and drives the best cost and quality for the electronics commodity (annual purchase value of EUR 10million) and other commodities under his/her care.

Responsibilities:

Supplier Management

• Accountable for supplier selection and strategies alliance
• Develop and manage relationship with all key suppliers
• Conduct regular review on supplier’s quality and cost reduction target
• Develop and implement vendor managed inventory program
• Liaise with suppliers on all quality issues

Product transfer and new product introduction

• Lead procurement activities in product transfer and new product introduction

Continuous improvement

• Liaise with suppliers on quality improvement program
• Drive continuous process improvement by measuring and analysing suppliers and process efficiency

Procurement cost reduction

• Develop and implement cost reduction activities

Disposal of non-conforming or suspected non-conforming materials

• Liaise with the necessary internal and external parties on the disposal of non-conforming materials

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electronics Engineering is a must-have
• Minimum 5 Years’ work experience in Engineering and Sourcing
• Minimum 5 Years’ work experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 Years' work experience in Electronics industry
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Have experience in leading new product introduction
• SAP R/3 or HANA

Knowledge of fundamental of electricity is required

Able to work during non-office hours including Saturday and Sunday

Manage and execute installation projects(Power protection solutions)

Test and commission site equipment

Conduct site surveys and audits

Response to service calls and conduct preventive maintenance of equipment on site.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project.
• Ensure that all civil works are carried out under contractual requirements and completed on schedule.
• Review job specifications and analyze technical drawings.
• Keep track of submission statuses like shop drawings, materials, samples, method statements, and all other technical submissions.
• Plan, arrange, and supervise civil building work activities.
• Coordinate work activities with other disciplines, clients' resident representatives, and subcontractors.
• Prepare progress reports, work method statements, and forecasts.
• Responsible for all aspects of quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
• Monitor essential operational processes and perform routine inspections.
• Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment, job safety environmental analysis, and inspection test plan and checklist based on specifications of the materials.
• Collaborate with HSE Department to implement and ensure safety measures at the job site.
• Any other related duties are to be assigned from time to time.

Prerequisites:

• Must have at least a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum at least 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in construction civil projects.
• Capable of analyzing field problems and recommending timely resolutions.
• Candidates who have experience with managing subcontractors will have an added advantage.
• Possess strong management and organizational skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and/ or Mandarin, both orally and in writing.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Available to work on weekdays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.
• Able to work independently and as a team with a good attitude.
