As a software engineer in the data management suite team, you will have the opportunity to build, optimize and grow one of the largest data platforms in the world. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on core systems in the data platform ecosystem. Responsibilities:

- Design and implement a unified data development platform that improves the efficiency of globalization data producers, which includes intelligence IDE, workflow management, multiple engine integration etc.;

- Figure out efficient ways to manage distributed states, and sync metadata between centralized place and regions globally;

- Design and develop a high-performance and distributed scheduling system that manages large-scale tasks across different business lines in whole ByteDance;

- Work closely with partner teams across the company and all over the world;

- Responsible for the design and development of integration with other systems in the big data area

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

- 5+ years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms

- 3+ years of experience with design and architecture, and testing and launching software products

- 2+ years of experience in data management systems, have experience of building big data development platforms, data catalog platforms, or data transfer platforms;

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture

- 3+ years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects

- Experiences in data platform related product development or big data technologies (such as Hadoop, Clickhouse, Flink etc.)

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent validation of models, including AIML models, credit risk, and market risk models.
• Assess inputs, assumptions, conceptual soundness, and empirical performance of models.
• Collaborate closely with model developers, risk managers, and other stakeholders to understand model purposes and applications.
• Communicate validation results and provide constructive feedback to model developers.
• Ensure models comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
• Stay updated on relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g. new requirements on artificial intelligence/machine learning models) and industry best practices in model validation.

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (such as Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Data Analytics or equivalent) is preferred
• At least 5-7 years of experience in related area
• Outstanding quantitative and programming skills (e.g. Pyspark, Python, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, econometrics, machine learning techniques, and Large Language Models
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and guidance related to model risk (e.g.,MAS 637, FEAT Principle)
• Self-motivated and a desire to learn and develop professionally
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Your role involves:

Engaging with business stakeholders, translating function specifications to technical solutions

Leading end to end SAP MM / WM project enhancement implementation rollouts on a regional scale

Handling support and change request for SAP MM / WM

Working closely with the other SAP team members to ensure integration with other modules (SAP PP, QM, SD, and FICO) is carried out smoothly

Developing training materials and conduct training

Skills and experience required
