The main role is to act as an intermediary/negotiator between shipowners and charterers to arrange freight transportation.

Job scope:

• Understudy and hands on operational aspects of a Charter party.
• Maintain databases and market information and reports for clients.
• Support the day-to-day activities of the Senior Brokers.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
• Prepare reports and analysis for existing/incoming customers.
• Help to manage internal data flow of key market information.
• Attend meetings and events with clients where required.
• Carry out post fixture support in a prompt and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Maritime studies
• Proficient in MS office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word

- Handle loading and off-loading of goods;

- Ensure proper lashing of cargoes and items on trailers;

- Ensure full compliance to safety rules and regulations on the roads and at jobsites;

- Provide good customer service at all times;

- Valid Class 4 driving licence with clean record;

- Min 2 years of experience driving prime mover (loose cargoes / containers trucking);

- Physically fit to climb up and down;

- Co-operative and responsible;

- Good team player;

- Able to work for long hours
