Location: Tuas (Company pick up available - West & North)
Salary: $6,000 - $7,000 + AWS
Working days: Monday - Friday
Working hours: 8:15am – 5:15pm
Job Description
Key Duty:
- Achieving set & agreed goals (financial & non-financial)
- New product launches, including marketing campaigns (trade shows, factory visits, etc.)
- Build & strengthen customer relationships
- Team & staff training & development. Including their performance review including termination
- Own SBU Budget planning and provide support required by BU & Group level
- Monthly & YTD performance review/update to BU and Group including YTD forecast
- AR collection (target 60days =<30%)
- Ensure smooth & efficient process flow. Always strive for continuous operations improvement to increase productivity and reduce wastage.
General Task
- Manage the import and export of parts and component to local and overseas clients & Maintain strong relationship for on-going supply of parts & component
- Develop resources/suppliers for new OEMs and other requirements of affiliates companies.
- Liaise with key counterparts in Indonesia and Singapore, for parts handling and reshipments.
- Develop and guide subordinates on the documentations for import and export shipments.
- Oversee and lead sales teams for local business in parts and component trading.
- Coordinate with overseas subsidiaries on principals, inventory financing, and shipments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly review reports and cash flow updates.
- Support Management/General Manager with other ad-hoc duties from time to time that includes the involvement in safety and health matters, handling the Battery Acid license and other accreditation requirements, etc.
- Source and propose new products as business opportunity that assists to grow the parts and trading business.
- Support the Truck Crane Service business as assigned from time to time.
- Assist with the sales of old inventory to best bid and buyer.
- Coordinate the annual stock take arrangement with auditor’s accounts and logistics team along with respective MMS staff involved.
- Oversee and deliver the right desired results for any other ad hoc assignments given.
People Management
- Supervise and lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company's targets and objectives
- Constantly review team and individual competencies to ensure everyone is equipped with the proper knowledge, skills and tools to carry out their work effectively and efficiently. Propose any required trainings to management for their development.
Relationship Management
- Liaise with customers (internal & external) and suppliers to gather feedback and develop solutions to resolve business issues and share essential information to management
- Maintain a transparent and timely communications with all stakeholders to ensure high level of support.
Requirement
- Min. 3-5 years of departmental managerial experiences, preferably in sales & marketing and in the components cum building materials industry.
- Warehousing & logistic experiences will be a “plus” factor.
- Has import & export experiences.
- Proficient with inventory software and systems will be an added advantage
