JOB SUMMARY

SC Ventures is looking for an Innovation Designer to join our Singapore team and be integral to our design process. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, pragmatist and strategist who loves to design and build new business models and understands how (and why) designing new products, services, and processes can drive strategic growth.

We are specifically looking for people with in-depth experience in end-to-end product life cycles, business model design, market analysis, financial modelling, and product, process and service implementation.

In your past life you may have been an intra- or entrepreneur, business strategy consultant or product manager with a strong focus on solving customer centric business problems.

You will have a chance to collaborate with global internal stakeholders, ventures, clients and participate in the process of designing and building transformational and incremental innovations, including user and expert research, business and financial modelling, growth hacking, systems thinking and strategic foresight.

You will take the lead in enabling teams to articulate new value propositions, forecast and simulate the impact of new offers, processes and business models, and help inspire and validate strategic direction of projects through data.

Once you are here, you will:

· Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their business challenges and opportunities and to help identify and prioritize their near and long term goals.

· Apply customer centric design methods and tools to prototyping, developing, and validating new business models and extending the customer-centric nature of design thinking to the business viability phase of the innovation process.

· Use discovery-driven planning and financial modelling to explore the business model possibilities behind design concepts and to shape and influence their design.

· Provide thought leadership by staying ahead of industry trends and contributing to the evolution of our design methodologies.

· Support business design activities including client workshops, stakeholder interviews, business intelligence gathering, creative brainstorms, visioning, and KPI development.

· Support new business development efforts by providing expert information in pitch efforts and client meetings.

· Translate business data and concepts into actionable insights for your teams.

Our Ideal Candidate

· A Bachelor or master’s degree in business

· 5+ years of consultancy or strategy experience.

· Rigorous acumen across many of the following areas, and subject matter expertise in on or two: Product Development, Product Management, Start-ups, Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Operations, Finance, and Design.

· Operational experience and understanding on taking products and services to market and scaling, or implementing business enhancements, whether as an entrepreneur, intrapreneur or product owner or manager

· Excellence in complex business model development, scenario planning and forecasting

· Proven fluency in human centered design process, and ability to work in multidisciplinary design teams.

· Experience in Excel and/or other analysis tools, familiarity with prototyping methods, and ability to learn to use new tools in real time.

· Outstanding written and verbal communication, as well ability to make use of presentation tools and methods to tell effective stories to colleagues, clients and partners.

· Proven ability to work in fast paced environments with diverse teams.

· Financial Services experience is a plus.

JD – Designer

Job Description

You will be working closely with product technology, brand and marketing and have the opportunity to work with fellow designers, developers and project managers. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess the knowledge of a good user experience approach when designing solutions.

Skills:

● Capable of contributing ideation for user personas and user journeys

● Prepare prototypes of site/features, storyboards, wireframes, and user flows for internal review and brainstorming

● Work closely with product/project managers to translate product requirements into UX and UI requirements

● Take a user-centred design approach addressing user motivations, to rapidly test and iterate your designs

● Promote and adopt a data-informed decision-making process by harnessing analytics data

Requirements:

● Degree with 0-5 years of user experience and human centred design expertise

● Have worked on designing digital properties such as websites and mobile apps

● Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude

● Teamwork skills

● Strong intent to continuously learn about UX and technology as it impacts design
