The Position:
We are growing rapidly and adding additional markets and campus developments into our portfolio, as such we are expanding our Regional Delivery team. The Vice President, Delivery Operations APAC is a key role as part of this expansion.
This role is will provide a key leadership role within the APAC Delivery Team. In this role you will be focused on building out our centralized PMO support functions within the business, supporting our in-country delivery teams and leadership, establishing best practices, providing optimized tools, templates, processes and methodologies ensure efficient and successful project delivery across all markets. Developing continual Project Delivery efficiencies, optimization and streamlining key project functions within the regional PMO team to enable and support our in-country teams including Procurement, Scheduling, Tools & Platform.
As a leader within the business you will lead by example setting the standard across all aspects of project delivery. Detailed and process orientated, you will remain strategically focused while being able to deep dive and support the project teams on any and all issues as they may arise and developing the team with a culture of support and collaboration.
· Develop, establish and maintain a streamlined PMO function, focused on supporting and enabling the in-country Delivery Teams.
· Standardise delivery project tools, templates, processes and platform enabling a goal driven Project culture with clear and open communication with continual improvement.
· Be a Leader and Subject Matter Expert on Project Processes, controls, and methodology. Guide and support the in-country project teams in continual improvement, identify areas of opportunity for improvements and efficiencies enabling and building up the project teams for greater success.
· Develop and Maintain a central resource platform for all tools, templates, processes maps and reference materials, establishing a best practice resource base.
· Strategy resource management and planning. Working with the in-country delivery team leadership develop and maintain strategic resource and planning for upcoming projects and activities.
· Lead and build upon the existing team of centralized PMO support functions working with a culture of continual development and improvement, identify opportunities for future standardization and centralized functions further enabling and supporting the in-country delivery teams.
· Develop and maintain working relationships with both consultants, contractors and supply vendors in market.
· Passionate about the Data Center industry and be an innovator, always looking to bring the forefront of technology into our projects to achieve and exceed our Sustainability, Safety & Efficiency goals.
· Be Safety Focused at all times and stages of project delivery, work collaboratively with the Safety Leadership, embody and lead by example our in Safety Best Practices and Conduct.
· Experienced in Lean Project Management methodologies, tools & processes to drive highly efficient and empowered project teams on fast track delivery.
· 15+ years in project delivery with at least 5 years within the Data Centre Industry or similar complex systems industry.
· Reporting directly to the Senior VP Delivery, you will work directly with the regional business leaders for Engineering, Delivery and Facility Operations.
Key Details:
Location: Singapore
Travel: 25-35%.
Language: English (Spoken & Written); Japanese or Korean considered an advantage.
Must-have Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineer, Project Management, or relevant built environment field.
· 15+ years progressive experience construction / real estate development, minimum 5 years and multiple project experience within Data Centre Industry.
· Deep experience in construction project delivery, project controls, risk management, contract administration.
· Industry expert in alternative procurement & construction contracting routes / methodologies including actual experience in successfully delivering various procurement models in multiple markets across APAC.
· Data Centre Project Experience including detailed knowledge and understanding of Data Centre design, engineering principals and best practice.
· Demonstratable experience in delivering complex construction/engineering projects or establishing large scale PMO structures with Capital Planning in excess of $500M USD within the APAC region, preferably across multiple markets in APAC.
· Working experience leading and collaborating on 3D Design Tools, BIM process & methodology and implementation of 4D/5D design principals.
· Deep working experience in Project Management Platforms such as Procore, Clarizen or equivalent.
· Experienced and competent in MS Project or Primavera P6
· Strong presentation and communication skills.
· Experienced in ESG SBTi metric’s and applying them to construction projects.
