About SK Energy International (SKEI)

SKEI markets and trades crude oil and petroleum products. The company was incorporated in 1990 and is based in Singapore. SK energy international operates as a subsidiary of SK trading international.


Job Profile

Supporting Front Office desk/products, ensuring smooth, accurate, timely workflow process and responsible for:

  • Entire settlement functions for Derivative trading e.g. Forwards, Futures, Options & Swaps
  • Verification of daily trades (all trading cargoes) in THOR system based on deal recap within timeline
  • Daily Margin Call management (Cash Buffer) and settlement through FCM (Bankers)
  • Preparation of daily Open Position Reports for all traded products
  • Setting up of ICE account for Traders/Analyst
  • Payment & Receipt vouchers in accounting system for all trades and related charges (ICE, Exchanges, Brokers etc.)
  • Trade reconciliation functions, generating of reports for mid-month & month-end closing (Realized & Unrealized Positions)
  • Brokerage Fee contract renewal/new rate addendum
  • Ad hoc requests from Front Office & HQ, any duties & reports relating to Derivatives
  • Attending to Auditor checks (internal & external)

Invoice Processing

  • Process assigned Invoices (namely ICE Fee, Brokerage Fee etc.,) timely

International Commercial Terms (Incoterms)

  • Understanding elements of the terms and related laws to carry out assigned duties

Know-Your-Customer (KYC)

  • Basic understanding of KYC knowledge and ability to follow standard set of steps for processing of Onboarding and Being onboarded procedures

Strategy Planning

  • Apply continuous improvement strategies to improve services or processes across the Organization

Stakeholder and Customer Management

  • Service Excellence: Build stakeholder confidence, which involves the know-how of handling service opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain working level relationships to support project implementation activities and create partnerships.
  • Conflict Management: Facilitate conflict situations through appropriate balance of logic and emotions. Oversee behaviors within team to minimize conflict occurrences.

  • Communication & Co-ordination Skills: Articulate, discuss ideas and persuade others to achieve common outcomes. Anticipate customer needs and expectations by eliciting feedback from customers to improve service. Build relationships with customers to create and sustain customer loyalty.

Candidate Profile

A self-motivated and committed individual who value integrity, willing brain engagement and going the extra miles to provide excellent, create happiness and values to stakeholders.


A strong candidate should possess the following competencies:

  • Minimum Diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experiences in the Energy sector
  • Knowledge and good understanding in Derivatives and its function
  • Operating of SAP/ETRM system will be an advantage
  • High proficiency in Advanced Excel (VBA), including MS Office (Word, Power Point)
  • Highly motivated individual who exhibits strong integrity, work ethics and ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
  • Effective team player (ability to work both independently and collaboratively) with excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable with handling of paperwork
