Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Construction M&E, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of M&E details, working drawings, and local construction practices (SMACNA, ASHRAE, SS COP, FSSD, NEA).
- Proficient in using BIM & CAD to prepare design and submission documents and coordinate and resolve technical and site issues.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with a systematic approach to managing day-to-day records, contracts, and project documentation.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the systems design & calculation, cost estimation, and preparation of plans and engineering design (BIM, CAD) following code and standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, SS COP, FSSD, NEA).
- Review and approve supplier/contractor's submissions for completeness and compliance with specifications.
- Supervise and review site works, ensuring they align with design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
- Develop project schedules, monitor project progress, and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the M&E team to ensure project quality and deliverables are met on time.
- Organise and maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all progress and changes are tracked, and variations are promptly communicated to stakeholders.
