Secondary English Teacher NPS International School Singapore

Position: English Teacher IGCSE and IBDP
Location: NPS International School Scotts Road Campus

NPSI is an all through school starting with the Early Years and culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Business Studies and Economics Teacher to join our diverse faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students to understand and engage with the global economic landscape, whilst recognising our local context, preparing them to become thoughtful, ethical leaders in an interconnected world. NPSI students are tomorrow’s leaders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English Language to students through the IGCSE and Diploma Programmes.
  • Foster Critical Thinking and Inquiry-Based Learning through a student-centred approach, aligning with the REACH and IB philosophies.
  • Develop and Implement Engaging Lesson Plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess Student Progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning and share best practices.
  • Engage in Continuous Professional Development to stay updated with the latest educational trends and IG and IB practices.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in English Language: Strong knowledge in English language, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
  • Instructional Technology Proficiency: Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, parents and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English lanugage, Education, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Teaching Certification relevant to the position.
  • Experience in the IGCSE and IB Programmes are highly desirable, with a strong understanding of the IB philosophy and curriculum.
