TRADING AND SALES EXECUTIVE

The Trading & Sales Executive position requires an individual with a strong aptitude for sales and a comprehensive understanding of the fine wine market. The primary responsibility entails selling fine wine products to a wide-ranging customer base, encompassing wine businesses in Europe and Asia, Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), and corporate clients.

The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with these various customer segments, managing sales pipelines, and driving revenue growth.

The Trading & Sales Executive must possess exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalising on new sales opportunities


- PosItion required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the fine wine industry or a similar luxury goods sector.
  2. Strong understanding of the fine wine market and consumer preferences.
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in using Excel and other relevant sales tools.
  6. Ability to travel internationally as needed

  1. Sales Skills: Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and close deals.
  2. Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the fine wine market, including key players, trends, and consumer preferences.
  3. Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of fine wine production, tasting, and pairing.
  4. Customer Focus: Passion for providing exceptional customer service and building long-lasting relationships.
  5. Results-Oriented: Driven to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations.
  6. Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and take initiative

- Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:

  1. Existing Customers: To consistently maintain and strengthen relationships with current clients, particularly wine businesses in Europe and Asia, Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), and corporate clients. This involves regular communication, personalised attention, and understanding their evolving needs and preferences.
  2. New Customers: To focus on identifying and engaging with potential clients through targeted sales strategies and networking opportunities. This includes market research, lead generation, and the implementation of compelling sales pitches to attract new business.
  3. Customer Satisfaction: Providing exceptional service and tailoring our offerings to meet the specific needs and desires of our clients. This includes actively seeking feedback, swiftly addressing any concerns, and constantly striving to exceed customer expectations.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  1. Sales Targets: To meet and surpass sales targets for fine wine products in domestic and international markets, it is essential to develop a comprehensive understanding of the target audience and market trends. This involves conducting thorough market research and identifying key opportunities for growth.
  2. Revenue Growth: Implementing effective sales strategies and negotiation skills will be crucial for driving revenue growth. This includes leveraging market data, building solid relationships with clients, and adapting sales techniques to meet the market's changing needs.
  3. Sales Funnel Management: To effectively manage the sales funnel from lead generation to deal closure, it is essential to implement efficient and streamlined sales processes. This involves identifying and qualifying leads, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring a smooth transition through each sales funnel stage

Product Knowledge:

  1. Fine Wine Expertise: Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the company's diverse fine wine portfolio, encompassing various production regions, grape varieties, and quality attributes.
  2. Product Promotion: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of each fine wine product to convey their unique features and benefits to customers effectively

Market Analysis:

  1. Market Trends: To closely monitor market trends to understand shifting consumer preferences and the competitive landscape to stay ahead of the competition. This involves staying informed about emerging trends, changes in consumer behavior, and the activities of competitors in the market.
  2. Market Research: Conducting thorough market research is essential to identify new sales opportunities and expand your customer base. This includes gathering data on consumer demographics, preferences, purchasing behavior, and market segments to inform strategic business decisions and marketing efforts.

Reporting:

  1. Sales Reports: It is essential to provide comprehensive sales reports to the Purchasing & Trading Manager regularly. These reports should include detailed information on sales performance, customer feedback, and valuable market insights to keep stakeholders informed and help guide decision-making.
  2. Sales Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data to identify critical trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimise sales strategies. We can gain valuable insights to make informed decisions and drive better sales performance by delving into the data
