JOB DESCRIPTION
A mining and trading MNC with global presence is currently looking for a Strategic Sustainability Director to join their expanding team to drive the company's long-term growth and sustainability by developing business strategies.
The responsibilities include formulating business strategies and strategic roadmap, designing and executing strategic workshops, creating and implementing strategic initiatives for business sustainability, digital transformation, risk identification, fostering key partnership with government entities, and formulating business development strategies.
The Strategic Sustainability Director will also be responsible to define the company’s ESG goals and strategies to achieve these goals, monitoring company sustainability performance, and leading the company’s sustainability reporting schedule.
In addition, the incumbent will be required to travel for about 30% of the year to support business requirements
Successful candidates can expect to work in an established organization with a cohesive team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar fields
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business strategy roles and ESG roles
- Deep knowledge in sustainability practices and sustainability reporting frameworks
- Comfortable with liaising with multiple external stakeholders
- Willing to travel to support business requirements
- Fluency in both English and Chinese language as incumbent will need to liaise closely with China stakeholders
