About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Linux Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Linux-based systems, ensuring their stability, security, and performance. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers, as well as troubleshooting and providing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Management: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (both physical and virtual) to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Security: Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security patches to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and redundancy across all systems.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage backup operations, perform regular testing of disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks and improve efficiency.
- User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams, resolving issues related to Linux systems and related software.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
Experience with server virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as RHCE, RHCSA, or CompTIA Linux+ are desirable.
